-Cyric has the support of the French? Of course he does, he's evil.

-No, no, I kid. If it weren't for France, I'd be speaking Queen's English right now, so I'll always be grateful to them for that, at least.

The French don't know the meaning of fashion. Their pants ride so low on the hips that I can't get them over my legs. I've never seen a french suit that was properly put together.

Hermes makes a nice shirt and tie, and Charvet makes the best ties in the world, but don't let the French make you a suit. Stick with the English on Saville Row or the Italians. Plus, the shirt and tie combinations they use would burn the eyes out of a man and make him weep.

Uh, Abercrombie and Fitch and American Eagle are nice. They're French, right? *dodges.*

And great sightseeing on the nude beaches in Provence;)

My parents lived there for 4 years, so they know.

On ne parle pas français qu'en France, tout le monde. On parle également cette langue au Québec !

-France is not the only place in the world where they speak french. One place they speak the language is in Quebec.

-Am I close?

-Awesome. That's one thing that learning Spanish for so long has taught me. While I don't always know exactly what is written (in either Spanish/Italian/French), I have an uncanny knack to translate it, based on words that I do know, cognatives, and a little sense based on context.

One does not speak French only in France, everyone. One also speaks this language in Quebec!

Or you could just use Babelfish.;)

-That's also cheating, and is notoriously inaccurate, from what I hear. The spanish phrase 'me gusta' is usually used to say, "I like something or other". Literally translated, as these programs do, it means "Whatever pleases me". Obviously, this can lead to...silly mix-ups. ;)

Fair play's for yellowbellies':P

Ahh, but you still get the general meaning of the sentence. As long as it's usable for the greater population, it serves. Utilitarianism is wonderful isn't it? :)

-Not necessarily. Saying, "I like Johnny Depp at night" has a slightly, slightly different meaning from "Johnny Depp pleases me at night". ;)

Yes, depending on the objective in question, the answer will be slightly altered to fit the mood;)

And many words in Romance languages have specific inferences built into them, regardless of the mood of the context.
