| Lady_Mhaor06-15-07, 11:05 AM | Meeh is it just me or lately have the gods become far to. . mortal? With the fall of vhaeraun and selvetarm and the lot arent the gods losing soem rep? Discuss  |
| ShadezofDis06-15-07, 03:28 PM | Nope, they've been portrayed this way for a long time now. |
| Boda06-15-07, 03:50 PM | as long it's just the lame ones... |
| XHereticX06-15-07, 03:56 PM | as long it's just the lame ones... True, I was mad about Bhaal and Myrkul's deaths, but don't really give a crap about the dumb drow deities. |
| The Ubbergeek06-15-07, 10:13 PM | This is polytheism, my dears... And dumb drow gods? |
| BrennonGoldeye06-15-07, 10:19 PM | Ubber tells it true. When you have multiple Deities in a living world you will have changes. Change good. :cip: :D :cip: |
| Tyberian06-16-07, 12:26 PM | Let me put it this way, in the aftermath of the ToT, Gilgeam died. We all know how many died during the ToT. Don't forget abot the birth of Beshaba and Tymora, or the death of countless deities in the orc gate wars. Not to mention Moander, or is he really dead? In fact it seems to me to always have been the norm in the FRCS. |
| Kantor Brightblade06-16-07, 12:51 PM | I agree that the Pantheon is seriously losing some street cred. I can't imagine with the layoffs and hard times the Pantheon is suffering from makes the Ao sponsored, 401K seem very worthwhile. To me it's almost like a Senate change every 2 to 4 years. Get in, do something borderline dramatic. Have your nearest opponent or some Office Noob pwn you in the lobby and call it a career. But as with Kelemvor or Finder....if you take the right guy out. You could be set for life. Let the Drow Pantheon be the Russian Parliment. One dies every Thursday. :schemes: |

| Lady_Mhaor06-17-07, 10:59 AM | not for nothing but this may have been a good place for a spoiler alert Eh really? I though the book was old enough it didnt need to be *spoiled* any more |
| XHereticX06-17-07, 11:36 AM | Eh really? I though the book was old enough it didnt need to be *spoiled* any more I doubt 2 months is consitered "old." yes, dumb drow gods is a good way to put it. Among all of the gods and powers fighting over one rock, a few minor drow gods woudn't matter too much to me besides losing a few decorations I really didn't care for in the first place. |
| Lord Karsus06-17-07, 07:10 PM | -The Realms are a pantheistic world, meaning that deities are not omnipotent. Therefore, since they are not omnipotent, there is always a chance for something more powerful than them to come along and subsume them, or appropriate their powers. Deific Darwinism. |

Deific Darwinism. but such a sublimation caused by a mortal, and one mortal at that? |
| Lord Karsus06-18-07, 12:28 AM | -Doesn't matter. At the time Cavatina + The Crescent Blade > Selvetarm. Survival of the fittest. |
| The Ubbergeek06-18-07, 01:15 AM | In our very rl myths, you have gods cheated, beaten, tricked, etc... so... |
