tidus_the_great 03-16-07, 11:04 AM	my dm has gave us a problem and hes letting us figure it out by any means nesisary. the thing is the problem is identifying a diety symbol we never heard of. none of us have knowledge religon and the clerics want to kill us since im leader of an assasins giuld. the symbol is a tower on a red field and the god is warlike. if u have any info please tell me!!!!

tidus_the_great 03-16-07, 12:00 PM	ya i relize that we need some one to have the knowledge skills. the thing we play is we make demigod chars basically and were blessed by certain gods so our stats are in the 30's and up:) i cant belive not a single one of us has a knowldge skill

You should be able to make Knowledge checks untrained, someone with a high Int stands a chance of getting it (especially with a good roll), unless the DC is ridiculously high (justifiable only if the deity is entirely unknown to your characters' culture, exempt even from an obscure mention in their varied travels).

With untrained knowledge checks you can only know something with a DC of 10 or less. If it is a homebrew god/ess then the DC will be higher than that.

I'd think orc or goblin, but it's way too long. Maybe the old monster mythology supplements could work... That sounds like a beholder deity or something. Have they ever been updated in 3.x?. Other than that... I seem to remember something similar, but it might be in a non-FR splatbook

I also looked through the appendix of FCI, thinking it might be a demon lord, but also found nothing.

Ragards. sorry that i had not gotten bak to u people but u r right. it is dispater and the other word in there was worship. he put the extra letters in there to screw around with us. we also did ot have any wizard sadly it was only a human barbarian, moon elf ninja, hafling rouge, and a half retarded gnoll ranger. our party isnt the type for knowledge but now we r suretakin some knowledges. thanks soo much 4 the help.:) :) :) :D
