The black blood constantly drips off of his great axe while his spiked armor carries with it the skin of many fallen foes.", Dalarn Wildtongue Half-elven bard and companion of the great Bloodbane. My guy loves to kill evil sentients. The problem is that he loves to kill them a bit too much. He sees his cause as laying waste to evil as paramount above all else ex. he would wipe out a house of innocents to kill a powerful evil hiding inside. I see this guys alignment as LN on good days but LE on bad ones. Perhaps Helm? I know Helm even has some LE Clerics. What do you guys think?

Zevox 08-01-07, 03:14 PM	Helm doesn't sound like the sort - hes about defending things, not the slaughter of those he perceives as a threat. Hoar might work, being the LN God of Vengeance, but then again this guy sounds like hes a little less controlled and deliberate than most of his followers. (To be perfectly honest, he doesn't sound lawful to me at all, more like chaotic, or at best neutral.) Hoar's the "an eye for an eye" sort, but this character sounds like he goes well beyond that. As for other, perhaps Malar - the whole predator vs prey and merciless killing of your targets is his thing, and despite being evil he doesn't have too much of a preference as to who his followers prey upon. Garagos might work too - he embodies the more savage aspects of battle, and doesn't particularly care who his followers are focused on fighting so long as they fight and kill. Zevox

This guy isnt a mindless barbarian killing on a whim and he doesnt really care alot about lessor evils. He plans his attacks. Selects his equipment. Selects his target. Then follows his plan to the demise of the leader of the Assasins guild etc... He sees little value in killing those that he doesnt have to kill but if they represent a real, clear threat to others than he kills without remorse. He doesant get off on the act of killing but on the fact that he is removing these threats from the world. I see him as a "Punisher" of sorts.

He still sounds a bit more excessive than Hoar's followers generally are, but being as hes not a Cleric he doesn't need to be a perfect follower of his every teaching. Zevox

The way you describe that guy, he very much sounds like Conan the Barbarian (remember good old Arnold and his chums when they prepare the raid of the Temple of Set? :D Man, they had everything planned! and yes! blood flew, regardless of if it was "temple-guards" or "innocent drugged women" blood! ;) man this was good TV! :cool: )
