Is mind control an option or does that make one mad (even if you protect yourself from evil)? I know souls are the currency on the outerplains, but what else can pique a devil or demons interest. Do you have to show respect and address it diplomatically or are spells like protection vs evil so handy you can cajole them and demand their service? Do they even bother with requests in common? I know drawing certain symbols help protect against a gated outsider. Are there symbols to automatically control the summoned monsters? |

Generally, you strike a bargain, exchanging a soul (yours or that of somebody else) for power. However, you need to be very careful, because a Demon will stick right to the letter of the agreement. The letter, not the spirit. And if they find any loophole, they'll use it. One way or the other, they get what they want in the end. |

Devils offer a better chance for getting what you want, but usually at the cost of you soul. Demons will accept a lot, but often will not make good on their end of the deal. It boils down to what you are willing to gamble, and how sure you are of your position in the equation. |
