| Todesherr11-30-07, 09:10 AM | to get a discussion going here... I think he is going to mutate back to Amauntor or at least take on his aspects. In this manner there will once again be a LN greater power. Greater Powers Torm LG Selune NG Chauntea NG ? Sune CG ? Lathander LN Silvanus N Tempus CN Bane LE Shar NE Talos CE They clearly intend to slim down and streamline the pantheon so this would be a step to do that. The Risen Sun Heresy seems to be getting off the ground anyway so... |
| customdrapery11-30-07, 09:54 AM | I agree that they've been giving enough hints that Lathander is going the route of Amaunator, but I think it's going to be more like the Three-Faced Sun heresy as opposed to the Risen Sun. I think Lathander is going to try and take the highsun portfolio, but he won't change to LN, but possibly LG, but more than likely will stay NG (I say good because he wants to fight evil after all). Of course, if he takes Highsun then I expect the portfolio of Dusk to re-appear somewhere as well, maybe Shar (you know, because she gets everything), but giving it to Cyric or just about anyone else would be more interesting. In your list I didn't see Tyr or Cyric, what do you think is going to happen to them? |

And Cyric is imprisoned but who knows... I am just glad that Torm is going to become the major LG power; he has long deserved it! |
| customdrapery11-30-07, 10:51 AM | Where is that about Tyr? I haven't heard that officially. Do you think that with Lathander taking over for Amaunator that he will also be shooting for Head of the Pantheon? |
| customdrapery11-30-07, 11:03 AM | I just read the other thread about Torm in, Tyr out...interesting times in the Faerunian Pantheon, eh? My guess is that Tempus may also get worked over. That way Torm or Bahamut will have good warriors and Bane could have evil warriors. |
| Todesherr11-30-07, 11:10 AM | Where is that about Tyr? I haven't heard that officially. Do you think that with Lathander taking over for Amaunator that he will also be shooting for Head of the Pantheon? The Long Live Torm thread...thank the Green Knight for his suggestion saved Torm and catapulted him to Greater status... I don't believe there will be a head of the pantheon.... |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin11-30-07, 11:20 AM | Well, it's likely that Torm will replace Tyr, according to Rich, but I don't think any promises have been made yet. Just saying "Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves." |
| Todesherr11-30-07, 11:28 AM | How's Perth these days? |
| buzzard11-30-07, 11:50 AM | Kelemvor (LN) is missing on the Greater Powers list (also Grumbar, Istisha, Kossuth and Akadi are missing but they are not involved on politics). edit: oh, and Oghma too. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin11-30-07, 12:49 PM | How's Perth these days? Perth? Are you talking to me?:) |
| Todesherr11-30-07, 09:52 PM | Perth? Are you talking to me?:) I am indeed. You hail from Perth don't you? |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin11-30-07, 10:20 PM | I am indeed. You hail from Perth don't you? Nope. :) I live in northern New Jersey. There's a city not too far away called Perth Amboy but I don't live there.:) |
| Todesherr11-30-07, 10:52 PM | Nope. :) I live in northern New Jersey. There's a city not too far away called Perth Amboy but I don't live there.:) Oh boy, I was way off...I confused you with an Australian... |
| GreenKnight12-01-07, 12:18 AM | A grave insult, to be sure. Shall I execute him for you, Lady Fathomlin? :D |
| Todesherr12-01-07, 03:03 AM | A grave insult, to be sure. Shall I execute him for you, Lady Fathomlin? :D After I had pledged loyal service to you for saving my god...you would betray me... ... :plotting: |
| Stigger12-01-07, 06:43 AM | I would... but I'm evil, so... |
| GreenKnight12-01-07, 09:52 AM | I kid, of course. Australian's are awesome, and being thought of one is a compliment. After all, they come from the land where women glow and men plunder. :D |
| Stigger12-01-07, 10:06 AM | That sounds like a lyric from Men At Work for some reason... I think. Haven't listened to them in almost two decades... |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin12-01-07, 06:08 PM | A grave insult, to be sure. Shall I execute him for you, Lady Fathomlin? :D *laughs* No, it's OK.;) But yes, I am from the US, for those who didn't know. |
| msatran12-01-07, 06:29 PM | Yeah, it is a lyric from Men at Work, but that Vegemite sandwich is too nasty for words. |
| Stigger12-01-07, 07:56 PM | I find it vaguely disturbing that I remember that from 20+ years ago... |
| faellamos12-02-07, 07:32 AM | Yeah, it is a lyric from Men at Work, but that Vegemite sandwich is too nasty for words. i have Vegemite and cheese on toast almost every day for breakfast :D |
| Todesherr12-02-07, 07:34 AM | i have Vegemite and cheese on toast almost every day for breakfast :D Not the healthiest of breakfasts... |
| faellamos12-02-07, 08:53 AM | sure it is. vegemite is chock full of vitamin B. or havent u heard the song? |
| Suin Bahhar12-02-07, 10:46 AM | Wtf??? |
| Stigger12-02-07, 11:16 AM | It's a very, very derailed thread, so, keep up. ;) |
| Suin Bahhar12-02-07, 05:30 PM | I wasn't intenting to, no. *shudders at the thought of vegemites strange sandwich flavours* So the Risen Sun Heresy encompasses Lathanders merging with Aumanator, right? What's the difference with the 3faced sun heresy then, an additional merging with Horus-Re? |
| MerrikCale12-02-07, 09:04 PM | Oh boy, I was way off...I confused you with an Australian... you weren't that far off. Is there that much of a difference between Australia and NJ? |
| Stigger12-03-07, 01:59 AM | *avoids comment on such a loaded question as the one Merrik just put out there...* |
| Puritan1312-03-07, 02:35 AM | you weren't that far off. Is there that much of a difference between Australia and NJ?When at the beach in NJ, you don't go in the water. Burns the skin. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin12-03-07, 09:42 AM | When at the beach in NJ, you don't go in the water. Burns the skin. Not true. I dare you to go to Cape May and call it an ugly beach. |
| Zireael12-03-07, 09:46 AM | I think Lathander will become a greater power NG alignment. |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin12-03-07, 09:48 AM | I think Lathander will become a greater power NG alignment. Lathander already is a Greater Power of NG alignment... |
| Zireael12-03-07, 09:55 AM | Then he'll stay such.. and maybe gain a portfolio or two... |
| Puritan1312-03-07, 05:01 PM | Not true. I dare you to go to Cape May and call it an ugly beach.I think I'll stick with the gulf here in Texas, thanks. Come to New Jersey! Where we dump out toxic waste! What goes to New Jersey, melts in New Jersey. :P |
| Sol_Odlanier12-03-07, 05:26 PM | Ever been there? |
| Puritan1312-03-07, 07:20 PM | I hear it's actually quite nice. |
| GreenKnight12-03-07, 07:53 PM | Everything I needed to know about New Jersey I learned from The Sopranos. |
| Sol_Odlanier12-04-07, 12:24 AM | I hear it's actually quite nice. I would not know, I'm "fresh out the boat" so to speak... I was satation in Ft. Sam Huston in San Antonio though.... |
| Puritan1312-04-07, 01:37 AM | States I have lived in/visited Florida Georgia Mississippi Kentucky Oklahoma New Mexico Arizona California Washington Missouri Oregon Canada :P Alaska Texas Ohio Of all these states, I liked living in Alaska the most. We lived in Sitka, on Baranof island and during the summer it got warm enough to swim in the ocean. I was very out-doorsy while living there. Always fishing, always out in the woods. Moved to Texas and discovered that it was too damn hot to be outside for very long. |

| MarkusTay6312-04-07, 04:13 AM | you weren't that far off. Is there that much of a difference between Australia and NJ?No... I think both were originally penal colonies... Jersey still is. :P |

| Ody_Saraph_of_Karsus12-04-07, 04:00 PM | NOt my little Island :D |
| msatran12-04-07, 04:08 PM | "Come back to Secaucus... We're waiting for you... We want you to join us... We're knee deep in goo..." An old friend of mine came up with that one. |
| Ody_Saraph_of_Karsus12-04-07, 04:19 PM | I belive that's the more random thing that I've ever seem post... |
| Puritan1312-04-07, 04:52 PM | Texas has suffered polluted beaches before. So has probably every state that has a beach. If by "polluted beaches" you mean college kids on spring break, then yeah. Makes South Padre Island a hellhole during that time of the year. |
