03-14-07, 04:40 AM According to the Fey pantheon Eachthighern is the god of Pegasus and Unicorns yet in Faiths and Pantheons Lurue is said to be their queen. Do these two gods have a connection? In Elves of Evermeet Yathageara is queen of the Pegasi and daughter of Eachthighern. Is this the same with Lurue or perhaps as his wife/mistress/consort? Or is she completely seperate from the fey gods but is simply worshiped by Unicorns

03-14-07, 06:30 AM While Lurue is very likely friendly with the fey deities (her Powers and Pantheons entry would state it, which I don't have handy), I do not think she would be considered part of the fey pantheon. The vast number of Torillian deities (non-racial ones discluded) are not multispheric and can, for the most part, only have presence in one pantheon at a time (via AO's decrees).

On the Outer Planes, the very idea of what a pantheon gets muddled, because there's no higher order around like AO to adjudicate matters directly. I don't think that we've had any canon indications that Lurue is multispheric, which would mean she would command virtually no power outside of Realmspace; the fey deities ARE multispheric. So, without adding any frills to canon and taking Lurue just as she's been written so far, I'd say she is the Queen of the Pegasi and Unicorns within Realmspace alone...

And if I did want to add frills, I'd probably link her either via blood or in the form of enduring relations with Eachthighern. Yathageara is probably multispheric by dint of her being very friendly with the Seldarine (who are multispheric) and the daughter of a multispheric god himself. I'm kind of liking the idea of Lurue being Eachthighern's mate (past or present, but still on good relations regardless) and the mother of Yathageara.

03-14-07, 11:34 PM I envision Lurue as the aspect of the goddess of magic venerated by the Fey creator race in ancient times. Mystryl was the human aspect/fragment of this goddess. Lurue would have been a major member of the Sylvan pantheon back when the Fey creator race held greater power some 35,000 years ago.

As the fey creator race has withdrawn from Faerūn over millennia, most of the Sylvan deities have died, diminished or transformed. Fey gods such as Shiallia, Tappan, and Lurue have remained potent in the environs of the High Forest. The human creator race waxed in power while the fey have waned. But pockets of humanity in the North came to worship and incorporate select members of the Sylvan pantheon into their own faith.

A few thousand years back, the pantheon of the North eventually merged with the Talfiric pantheon of the Western Heartlands. After the Dawn Cataclysm, when the human pantheons merged into a greater Faerūnian pantheon, a diminished Lurue came to be venerated by humans as a separate deity from Mystryl. Lurue thus has different portfolios from current day Mystra as no two deities (with certain exceptions) can share the same portfolios within the same pantheon or geographic sphere of influence.

Eachthighern is not native to Faerūn. He is known to the fey folk of other spheres, but likely never had much of a presence in Faerūn as Lurue and he overlapped somewhat.

add fey dominion to her form "BOOK OF EXALTED DEEDS" and then add "Beloved of Valarian" but change the name to "Beloved of Lurue" as her prestige class. If you read th fey domain granted power is not all that great unless yoru in the high forest, outsid eof it very unlikly to use it.
