New character needs GOD?! [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-25-07, 09:32 PM I am about to start playing a campaign based in FR. I am considering playing a cleric. But I am not fully versed in ALL of the gods in this setting. I have read a lot of the FR novels but I do not want to play a cleric that ends up being a walking cure light wounds spell! So, with that being said, I would ask if any of you could give me a list of all of the major deities from FR, and a brief description of their portfolios. The campaign starts off at 1st level, and all characters must be Good or neutral. So, all evil gods can be left out. I know there is a full list of all FR gods in the FR campaign setting book, but I do not have that book at my disposal.

05-25-07, 10:37 PM Try wikipedia on Forgotten Realms and look for the pantheons.

THAT, at least, might be reliable enough.

And note that evil gods can have Neutral clerics, especially in the Realms.

05-25-07, 11:10 PM No portfolios in my link (too much information might upset the powers that be), but domains are listed, should give you a starting point for sifting through deities.
