| Spearhorn04-27-07, 04:22 AM | I am planning a campaign involving a lot of Ogres. What deity do you think mainly suits those brutes? Vaprak och Baphomet are the two obvious ones, but is there anybody else that I have missed out on? Maybe they are to lazy to bother about worship at all or maybe the'll go with the Gruumsh-gang? |
| Aldareth04-27-07, 04:45 AM | In the Years of Rogue Dragons Novels there is a Oger tribe that worships Vaprak, so i think Vaprak is a good choice |
| The Ubbergeek04-27-07, 11:28 AM | Wasn't Bane a traditional god for some evil humanoids too? |
| PharaunMizzrym04-27-07, 04:44 PM | Bane is more lawful and ogres are more chaotic. I would go with Vaprak as the main deity. One or two tribes may pay homage to Baphomet. Ogres who have been integrated into a tribe of another race such as orcs may worship their deities. |
| ripvanwormer04-27-07, 05:27 PM | Grolantor, the god of hill giants, is another good one for ogres. And the Twilight Spirit from Giantcraft. I can also see the worshipping Malar, Talos, or Tempus, conceivably. |
| Andyr04-28-07, 10:09 AM | Perhaps even the Abyssal Lord Kostchtchie? |
| HVulpes04-28-07, 10:31 AM | The Ogre Mages that have gather that major army in Amn were worshippers of Cyric, with the female having a name similar to that god. Check out 'Powers of Faerun' for more details of the leader of that army who had his name changed cause the original sounded like an STD. |
| boggler6505-01-07, 05:03 PM | There is a pantheon for giants somewhere, which Vaprak is a part of. |
