Pondering the Orc Pantheon [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-15-07, 06:30 PM I was thinking about the Orc pantheon and came to a realization. the patriarch of the pantheon is a one-eyed spear wielder and is son is one of the strongest beings in existence. On the home plane of Nishrek, the petitioners war everyday and are resurrected/healed every morning. Notice the similarity with the Norse pantheon? The fact that unlike the Norse they are at such terrible odds with Dwarves and Elves makes me think perhaps they arose out of the dust of Ragnarok. Any comments?

05-15-07, 06:45 PM It also gives opportunities for insane heresies. For example, a heresy of Gruumsh with the magic domain that works to be friends with elves and dwarves. Wonderfully blasphemous.

05-15-07, 06:51 PM Or even better, you could be a half-orc/half-blue dragon fighter/barbarian/exotic weapon master using a great hammer (exotic weapon which you can swing in one hand with proficiency..) and the ancestral relic feat to make it stronger and stronger! Then with the leadership feat you could get a heretic evangelist to convince everyone you are the new Bhaggtru (spelling?) incarnate! The insanity is endless. Especially if you add dragon breath and destructive rage!
