| Elaurin04-07-07, 11:51 AM | I just picked up Faiths and Pantheons and I have 2 questions. Why are certain deities considered major and the rest (i.e. the professor and Mary Ann of gods)? It seems that number of worshipers put them in the greater, intermediate, lesser, etc. categories and that a bunch of "lesser" and "intermediate" deities are in the major list? Why do deities such as Azuth and Kossuth not have avatars? Thanks. |

That's independent of the greater, intermediate, lesser classification. Azuth and Kossuth do manifest avatars. |

That is probably as much as correct as the ranking "major" Faraer described above. It is pretty clear where Lolth and Eilistraee belong. One wonders why Corellon didn't make it though, or any of the dwarven big ones. But IMHO F&P was just an initial book dedicated to some "major" deities and hopefully we will see full substitutes for the Faiths & Avatars series in the near future. |

| Zanan04-08-07, 03:51 PM | Well ... it would most likely be something FRCS-style. The writing in there isn't that bigger and if they refrain from extensive PrC description variants*, but have e.g. Initiate feats for all faiths, the start would have been made. *Just keep them in Faiths & Pantheons - style, not the City of Splendours one. |
