Regenerating back a head? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-22-07, 04:04 PM When a head gets destroyed beyond regeneration, can a still living body under a regenerate spell grow it back?

How would a face like THAT look like?

06-22-07, 04:19 PM It depends what type of creature it is.

Ogre Mages have ten minutes to get the head back or regenerate it.

A normal human dies instantly from decapitation thus making the regeneration spell a failure since there is no lifeforce or soul present which to act upon.

Also, the head would probably look the same as the last.<.<

Putting it back on is one thing(Wolverine can do that too :P), but regenerating a head(with memories) should be impossible.

"should" and "what is" are typically two completely different things :)

Yes, though Im not sure if all Ogres or just Ogre mages can do it, plus the memories would probably be the same since the spell is regenerating all neural processes that once were, probably including memories.

Not even sure if the spell exists outside of RAS novels, but I had wondered what kind of difference this would make, and how rules change when your brain is suddenly in a part of your body to which the majority of damage is taken.

Untrue, because it states that a ring of regen can bring a character back from even death!
