| Green Elven Vampire08-01-07, 04:42 AM | Is there any possible way for The Chaos Curse to be found again, or remade? Opinions welcomed. Thanks. |
| Lord Karsus08-01-07, 08:52 PM | -If I recall correctly, Druzil the Quasit was the one who knew the "recipie". What are the odds that a single Quasit, in all of the Infinite Layers of the Abyss, was the only soul to know the "ingredients"? Someone else has got to know. Enter your campaign...;) |
| Shar_the_Black08-01-07, 11:17 PM | Well, you always could have a devout follower of Talona recieve a prophetic vision in a dream and learn the cause curse from her, or perhaps learn the name of a demon who knows the recipe. Another alternate idea is that someone discovers an acient recipe of it in some historic lore somewhere. Aballister, the original brewer of the curse was visited by Talona during the Time of Troubles. You could set up a similar senario in your game. |
| The_Wrath_of_Talos08-02-07, 11:09 AM | I'd assume that it would be written some where in the scrolls of Ahm. You should beable to find almost any kind of demonic lore in them. |

Enter your campaign...;) Oh, so Druzil is supposed to be a quasit? Fits him better, being a fiendish servant of Talona, though I swore in Salvatore's novels that he was an imp. Then again, Mr. Salvatore isn't quite the rule-monger. :embarrass Yeah, the Chaos Curse could be remade, as said by LK here. Just matters that the source is found... :plotting: :evillaugh |
| MarkusTay6308-02-07, 03:15 PM | Maybe he was a 'Closet Quasit'. :P |
| Green Elven Vampire08-02-07, 03:51 PM | Is there any reason Rufo turned into such a wicked powerful Vampire when he drank the potion? I thought it was supposed to leak noxious fumes or something? |
| Ioulaum08-02-07, 04:01 PM | Is there any reason Rufo turned into such a wicked powerful Vampire when he drank the potion? I thought it was supposed to leak noxious fumes or something? Well it did more then that with the priestess of Sune :P I don't think it was ever explain but it might have something to do with it being Talona's personal receipt, which made it more potent. |

[QUOTE=Mad Mage;13280856]Then again, Mr. Salvatore isn't quite the rule-monger. :embarrass -Exaaactly...(Quasits are Demons that embody Chaos, whereas Imps are Devils that embody Lawfulness. Someone didn't do their homework.) Is there any reason Rufo turned into such a wicked powerful Vampire when he drank the potion? I thought it was supposed to leak noxious fumes or something? -Behold the power of Plot Hook! |
| Drew1369r08-02-07, 09:26 PM | It actually states in the book why he turned into a vampire |
| Ioulaum08-02-07, 10:39 PM | It actually states in the book why he turned into a vampire it does but it didn't explain why he turn into such a powerful vampire. |
| Ramenth08-03-07, 01:23 AM | I would guess R.A said Imp because most people who aren't avid players have no idea what a Quasit is. You'll note he tends to write more towards the general population than most of the other authors. |
| Steropes08-03-07, 03:57 AM | I would guess R.A said Imp because most people who aren't avid players have no idea what a Quasit is. You'll note he tends to write more towards the general population than most of the other authors. Then again, he could have but "dictionary"(explains quasit and other inside terms, characters and places) It would have been usefull for translaters if not for any one else. |
| Lord Karsus08-03-07, 10:11 PM | I would guess R.A said Imp because most people who aren't avid players have no idea what a Quasit is. -All he would have needed to fix that very minor problem would have been a few words along the lines of, "Druzil the Quasit- a small, weak Demon at the bottom of the Demonic hierarchy..." |
| Sun Krigo08-07-07, 04:21 PM | What does this potion do? |
| Lord Karsus08-07-07, 11:22 PM | What does this potion do? -Read the book. ;) |
| PharaunMizzrym08-08-07, 12:01 AM | Exerpt from wikipedia, ".....the potion, the Chaos Curse, which makes all who breathe it lose self-control." For everyone else who hasn't read the books. :) |
| Green Elven Vampire08-08-07, 12:16 AM | I wonder if the effects of drinking it are different for different people. Hmmm... that could go somewhere. Now, if only the clergy of Talona had a section in Lords of Darkness. |

Now, if only the clergy of Talona had a section in Lords of Darkness. i would expect it to just straight kill good people, but turn evil ones into vampires, lets face it rufo was not a good person. |
| Green Elven Vampire08-08-07, 02:48 AM | i would expect it to just straight kill good people, but turn evil ones into vampires, lets face it rufo was not a good person. But why a Vampire? That's what I don't get. Coming from Talona, I'd expect something else. |
| boards08-08-07, 03:53 AM | From what I remember, it makes people give in to their most basic loves, some for eating, some drinking, some to slam their heads against walls:confused:. Maybe the Vampire obsession with their thirst is meant to be the pinacle of this obsession. Thats the best I can offer. |
