08-29-07, 05:06 PM The shards are the 7 (IIRC) planetars that serve Selune. In 2E's Faith and Avatars, they were said to appear different from standard planetars (women composed of light and flame). Then in the Planescape product Beyond the Infinite Staircase, they appeared as very minor (3 HD) outsiders that looked like those described in F&A. In 3E, the novel, Mistress of the Night (IIRC), described them as planetars, but this time straight out of the MM. Consequently, I took the Planescape version with the 2E description and remade them into the slivers that recently appeared in Dragon magazine and in Bestiary of the Realms V2, leaving the shards as planetars straight out of the MM.
