| SkyCAM05-25-07, 11:15 PM | I read up in one my Forgotten Realms books where the character gains certain abilities such as additional electricity damage or extra damage vs. undead once per level. I look through my books again today and couldnt find the reference. Can anyone gimme a clue which book/page I can find that info again? |
| Dielzen05-25-07, 11:42 PM | I'm not familiar with anything that grants effects that are "once/level" -- most things are "once/day." Assuming it's just something "lost in the translation" I'll offer the following possible answers to what I think you might mean. Initiate Feats (most are in Player's Guide) Detiy-based Prestige Classes (most are in Faiths and Pantheons) The other thing you might be thinking of are the Salient abilities of the deities themselves, listed at the end of Faiths and Pantheons, but those aren't for players. |

I can even somewhat remember what the page looked like but after hours of searching I couldnt find the reference. One of the other benefits I recall is that you could make your attacks count as attacks made with silver weapons to overcome damage reduction. As for the electricty damage it was just +1. This was all nothing major but a nice extra for having a certain patron deity ... |
| Dielzen05-26-07, 09:21 AM | Is it possible you were looking at some fan website or PDF? Having done a (admittedly) quick look thru my 3e FR sourcebooks, the only place I find anything with deity-based choices are: Weapon of the Deity spell Initiate Feat Tables Lists of Deities/Domains/etc |
| SkyCAM05-26-07, 10:29 AM | AH! Ok after looking all morning through some books again I found at least some of the options in the Waterdeep - City of Splendors book. A character can join a group, order or church and gain certain benefits (if she meets the entry requirements). Its not a prestige class or anything but really gives the character a one time bonus per level. Still cant the other information though ... anyone knows which books has info on Sehanine Moonbow / Selune / Sharindlar .. it was somewhere in that context *grrr* |
| BadCatMan05-26-07, 11:09 AM | Are you misreading or misremembering the substitution levels from Champions Of Valor? Most of the powers are divine-related, but come from substituting a level of one class for a special level. They don't work per level, but per day or per week. Action points are about the only thing to work per level. |
| SkyCAM05-26-07, 11:53 AM | Thx BadCatMan it was Champions Of Valor! I was searching for the Sun Soul Monk feat. I remembered the whole thing because of a other forum question concerning a monk gaining the silver weapon proficiency to overcome the silver/DR. I confused this with being a just a member of the Sun Soul order as described in the Waterdeep book and actually having a feat of the same name. Thx anyone for their insights and help. |
