Dielzen 05-28-07, 11:09 AM	Neither spell says it can be made permanent, so unless your DM allows them to be, they can't.

If you use the tattoo magic feat, they're permanent until discharged. They function as scrolls. The Inscribe Rune feat, and the runecaster prc allows permanent runes (i believe). If you want a magic tattoo to be a permanent effect on your body, simply price it as a slotsless magic item.

I find the Tattoo Magic feat worthless, seeing as how it has higher requirements than Scribe Scroll, allows only up to 3rd level spells, but otherwise works exactly the same. I say just allow scribe scroll to be used on your body, or make magic item x slotless and describe as tattoo. Voila!

I've noticed:) Me, been working 10 hour shifts since Monday in a -25C cold storage facilty dangling 40 feet from a harness, just to maintain some seriously outdated (talking 70's) cooling units that haven't been touched since they were first installed. The cold, me being irrationally terrified of heights to the point of nausea, lack of snooze, and the due date for maintainence being this Wednesday equates into me having mucho overdose of adrenaline and thinking everything is ok, so long as the pink elves in my closet are nice to me:D
