Tempus Question... [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-05-07, 02:31 PM Someone suggested to my DM that Tempus doesn't accept Psionic races or classes as worshippers. Can anyone confirm that for me? If possible, a reference to a book to find it in would be nice. It doesn't appear in any of my DM's stuff (I have no FR material), but I know this setting is ancient and it might be in some book more than a decade old.

07-06-07, 02:44 AM A god may refuse to grant spells or divine powers (such as a paladin's) to a character, but I don't think there's any way for a god short of direct intervention to prevent a given mortal to worship him. Shevarash hates the Fey'ri, but a number of them worship him because of his bitter side and desire for revenge against the drow. Shevarash simply ignores them and doesn't answer their prayers.

That said, I see no reason why Tempus wouldn't grant spells to a cleric who chooses to worship him. His portfolio is about wars and battel and there's nothing about psionic characters that opposes that.

07-06-07, 03:09 AM Psionic characters are just as capable of fighting in a battle as any other character, really, so I don't see any reason why Tempus wouldn't accept their worship. There are wizards who pay homage to him, so why not psionics?
