I was going over some of my old gaming material from TSR and I found an interesting sword it was undead wounding. it works exactly like regular wounding only a bright light gleams from the wound of the undead perhaps positive energy damage. Bruce Cordell was the writer who came up with it.

Also does anyone know what gaming accessory it came from.

not sure of that source, but you could achieve similar results with a weapon that is bane to undead (not a DoT, but extra dmg), then I think there's several more options in the Magic Item Compendium. I believe there's an ability you can add to a weapon to grant sneak attack damage to undead.

It's an augment crystal, I'm AFB so not 100%, but I think it's called a Truedeath crystal.

lvl 1 = +1d6 damage to undead
lvl 2 = +ghost touch
lvl 3 = +SAs & crits

That actually sounds neat Undead wounding combined with bane, Then ever round the undead would take stacked damage from the wounding and the bane damage.
