msatran 02-09-08, 04:38 PM	This is perfectly acceptable, as long as you obey the rules of the Moradinsamman. :) A dwarf shall not steal from any other dwarf. He can be as selfish and evil as he likes. He just can't cause great amounts of harm to dwarves while doing it.

I think it's ultimately just a very literal interpretation of the rules--a Neutral god is allowed to have NG and NE clerics (as well as clerics of any neutral alignment).

Yep. Vergadain is just a fitting deity for non-evil thieves, like Olidammara in Greyhawk: he is a patron of some of those activities, but does not encourage the kind of immoral behavior Mask does. On the other hand, that doesn't mean that evil characters need not worship him. Trade, money, diplomacy - evil characters can certainly see the value in any of those. Mind you, an evil character might be more inclined to worship Abbathor, but they certainly can worship Vergadain if they decide to.
