Does anyone know what the outcome of this battle was? Players guide to Faerun only touches a small part of this and I currently have no other sources.

Running a campaign with the Rogue deities of the Realms... Erevan Ilesere, Garl Glittergold, Mask, Brandobaris, and we want to include Vhaeraun as well, but don't want to upset the story lines of this battle.

Thanks in advance guys and gals.:D

Both were wounded, but not mortally. Methinks that yugoloth chap Vhaeraun hired to slay the drow collected a bit of the deities blood when the latter visited the former. Obviously, I should point towards Lady Penitent I - Sacrifice of the Widow and apparently fatal events for both deities.

Nothing much is truly known. All we know is that Vhaeraun and his sister are one. If you recall in the end of Sacrifice of the Widow, Vhaeraun's Mask appeared near Eilistraee's face.

The ominous point is that the priests of Vhaeraun say that they cannot hear him / he ain't answering, but Eilistraee does instead ... and her silverfire (whatever) shines through the Vhaeraunians' spells.

I am fully aware of that. Although, the Moonfire that Eilistraee grants her followers, more in particular, Vhaeraun's followers, might be a temporary thing. I think Vhaeraun planned for this and will come back.

I hope so, he was a deity I quite liked! While I imagine Selvetarm is dead, given Vhaeraun's links with trickery I suspect he's got some contingency plan to come back (or alternatively isn't really dead, merely pretending to be while working with Eilistraee to combat Lolth).

If not, what are all those male drow going to do?

Learn how to dance naked :P

1 point that the novel had raise and which has been raise here at the forum is the inequality of the sex in drow society even in Elis everyone is a equal society. I believed what the game/novel dept is trying to do is fix this problem that while Elis is suppose to care about all drow male or female. She still only accept female clerics. By having her absorb Vhaeraun this would allow them let Elis have male clerics. This way they won't have to do antoher recon where they say will Elis always have male clerics, we just never talk about them before.
