there was mention of him dueling in the skies w/ another hotshot mage in the Sharr (Shining South if you can believe it)
no references i can remember in 2nd ed., so i suppose you could speculate he's a newcomer like Kelemvor...perhaps another reason they don't like one another.

I don't know if a year existed before this printing but I could not find it anywhere else.
