In my campaign Selvatarm Swordspiders will be the BBEG's. I plan on them leading an invasion into a Borderkingdom during Lolths Silence. I love how these clerics have to pray for spells after their first battle each day. Evil and ruthless killers with perfect battle and fighting techniques. HELL YEAH!

So, any other DMs ever invented a conversion of the swordspider class in 2ed Faith and Pantheons? Any lore on their preferred armor and weapon enchantments? Rituals. Main Temple. Anything juicy?

-I think that Selvetarm is a rock...in the Astral! :D

-I created a new Selvetarmite PrC in Elves of Faerūn.

Bah, Lolth's lackey.

At what official date do Vhearun and Selvetarm fall into the abyss battling eachother? Cause this could be a nice little catastrofy for the Selvetarm invaders. My campaign is currently in 5 Alturiak 1374 DR.

Your conversion is just what I needed. Great work Lord Karsus. The Spidersword's a very evil beast of a PrC. The warcry ability is the same as the 6th level bard spell Warcry? And they lose any further advancing of cleric spells? I may change this to half casterlevel progression.

Selvetarm's Lolths lackey but during her silence he's the only Drow god voicing the correct way of the Spider. And he whispers of the Night War at the surface and raises the bloodlust in his clergy the Selvetargtlin tenfold. Eventually they will manage to gather the most supportive houses and start a night crusade. \m/

Hmm, I highly doubt Selvetarm would really be able to do anything without Lolth's personal consent. As for the Night Crusade, one house in Gullidarth still thinks they are fighting it, are you going to let the campaign take place in that city?

Vhaeraun and Selvetarm battle I think in 1373 DR, not sure which season though, check the player's guide to faerun, it has it.

Where is Gullidarth located? I made the Night Crusade up by my self, their already is one? Was planning on having Llurth Dreier be subdued by a dreagloth loyal to Selvetarm.

I am not sure which land will be invaded but I had my eyes on one of the border kingdoms. Can change that too.

Under Tethyr I think. I remember it was founded around -9000 DR and it the oldest and largest drow community in the underdark, with 23 ruling houses and a massive population. If you want more information get Underdark, Zanan might know something too.

-Ukta, 16, DR 1372.

Where is Gullidarth located?

-Underneath Calimshan, about 70 miles to the north and west of Calimshan's capital, Calimport.

And have the bodies of Vhearun and Selvatarm been seen in the astral? I think not yet and plan on having the two fight for something like four or five months visiting sevral layers of the Abyss, the Fugue plane and the Barrens of Doom and Despair. Causing havoc to the structure of several planar boundaries as collatoral damage of the diefic fight.

You could try and ask some githyanki. But they may ignore you, if you're lucky. ;)

-Neither one of the two died as a result of their battle upon the Demonweb. Selvatarm would later die, a victim of Eilistraee's Crescent Blade. There has been nothing writen about his astral form, as of yet. Vhaeraun's fate is somewhat more complicated. There is nothing to suggest that he has died, yet, keep in mind.

Just his mask flying around in the Demonweb.

Maybe he got absorbed by Mask? Or...maybe it was he who killed Elistraee and tried to cover it up.

well, you never know with that god.

A thank the gods. This crescent blade slayed Selvatarm much later then? Maybe the pc's will be the instigators or helpers of this blade thing of Eilistraee.

-All we know for certain is that Vhaeraun's mask was on Eilistraee's face when she emerged from her domain after Vhaeraun "snuck in" to attack her, and that the "Darkfire" that Vhaeraun's worshippers wielded was "tainted" by tiny motes of moonlight. What exactly does all of that mean? For now, it's up to the individual to decide. Conspiracy theories abound.

-Yes, Selvetarm was slain by Cavatina, a Darksong Knight, wielding the Crescent Blade, in Utkar of 1375 DR, the Year of Risen Elfkin. That's about three years after the Silence of Lolth.
