He accidentally turned himself into a dog, was kept as a pet, and turned back during the Time of Troubles. When they ended, he didn't revert back to being a dog (having failed to produce the antidote). Instead he became a werewolf. Does anyone know if he's been officially (or unofficially) statted up somewhere? I like him as a character. I'll always remember Thibledorf Pwent chasing after him, yelling "Bite me!" In particular, I'm curious about whether he's an exception to the werewolf = CE rule. I also wonder if he's begun the path of a gish to make use of his werewolf capabilities (and which particular PrC). Does anyone have any thoughts? |

As far as I know/can assume, Bidderdoo's lycanthropy is neither natural nor was it a disease, rather, it was a side effect of all the bizzare going-ons with magic during the time of troubles. I believe that he retains his alignment (Whatever it was... CG?). When Pwent chased after him yelling "Bite me!" I sorta remember Bidderdoo freaking out and running away lacking the urge to attack his friends. So yeah, in order to make a long story short and to answer your questions. Bidderdoo's lycanthropy was caused by magic, and I believe he retains his alignment. There are also no official stats for this character (Or any of the Harpells if I recall.), but I would suggest that he's be a 10th level wizard w/ the werewolf template. |

Then again, I got Legacy of the Drow and Paths of Darkness at the same time, so I read a lot in little time. My retention isn't the best. But here's to hoping there's one more place with that eccentric mage. I wonder if Bidderdoo is burrying experiments like a dog would a bone. I suppose he'd value those experiments about the same as a dog would a bone. EDIT: It's refreshing to have a Drizzt fan who is more likely to build a Harpell ripoff than a Drizzt ripoff. |
