Dark Wizard 07-22-07, 01:44 AM	Are there any sources about the settlements and cities in the Shaar? Such as Shaarmid, Rethmar, Channathgate, Kormul. Anything on the Shaareach, The Misty Vale, and Lake Lhesper would be appreciated as well. Is Shairtalar part of Lapaliiya?
Old Sage 07-22-07, 02:55 AM	There isn't much. You can find what little lore there is on most of these locations in 3e's Shining South. Additionally - Shaarmid -- Serpent Kingdoms, and the entry for "Gaerdal Ironhand" in Demihuman Deities. Rethmar -- brief bits in Serpent Kingdoms. Channathgate -- brief bits in Serpent Kingdoms. Kormul -- brief bits in Serpent Kingdoms, mentioned briefly in the entry for "The Chanting Chain" in Prayers from the Faithful. Shaareach -- "Elminster Speaks." Misty Vale -- Demihuman Deities is one of the few sources with detailed lore for the Vale. There's also a quarter of a page on pg. 158 in Shining South. Lake Lhespen/Lhesper -- mostly Shining South. Sheirtalar is the capitol of Lapaliiya.

Delendir 07-24-07, 11:40 PM	Can't say it, necessarily, contains anything about those cities you mentioned, but I think Powers of Faerūn has a chapter named Borderlands. The map in the chapter shows a portion of the eastern Shaar, along the coast with a long row of cities and towns. Could be a helpful source.
