Adolph_Kheebler 03-07-07, 02:11 PM	I'm about to run a new campaign based in Damara and focusing on the aftereffects of the war with Zhengyi the Witch King of Vaasa. What information is available about the region other than that presented in the FRCS?

Tarus 03-08-07, 09:51 AM	I had planned out, and never was able to run, a campaign set in Damara and Vaasa...though mine was set before the Artemis books. More or less its a vast untamed land in Vaasa which provides great adventure hooks. I started the PC's off just working for the Vaasan gate collecting bounties. Ultimately it was going to end up with various baronies (particularly Dimian Ree and his allies) attempting a political take over by discrediting the current king and making himself appear as the 'hero'. But yes, those 3rd edition books will tell a lot.
Rude 03-11-07, 03:49 PM	I think Dragons of Faerun mentioned an Aspect of Tiamat is spawning all those tiamat spawn type creatures somewhere in Vaasa, if not in the ruins of Castle Perilous itself. Doesn't jive at all with the recent novels but I'm pretty sure Dragons of F mentioned that. I believe the Rotting Man is working right near the border of southern Damara. I've got two campaigns taking place in and around Damara and had been looking for as much info as possible. The two new novels have King Dragonsbane sort of occupied with goings on in Vaasa, thus the slow response to the actions of my PCs and their foes in the southeast.
