Other maps are there in the downloades section as well.

There are some nice ones over at Candlekeep (http://candlekeep.com/library/maps.htm).

Hey WotC... where's the Google Abeir Toril program?

I can see my lawn chair using Google Earth.

Speaking about the maps ...

Has anyone got good quality, high resolution, large scaled, beautifully coloured and well detailed maps of Shadowdale village, its vicinity and the whole dale?

The official maps I have found so far are quite lacking - they are tiny, shady, usually uncolored, slightly ugly, etc.

As the area is very well described and detailed through many accessories during the many years, then perhaps someone with artistic abilities has drawn a good map, eh?

I would really want to print a larger one for my players.

Best Regards,

Mandras.

Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land has new colour renditions by Kyle Hunter of the Shadowdale village and environs maps. It would be great if Wizards.com put up high-resolution versions to print larger.

The largest-scale map of the whole dale remains the one that came with FRS1 The Dalelands, while the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas includes the most locations, though it's missing places detailed since, such as Leaning Tree and Oakwood Knoll.

Where can I read about the Leaning Tree and Oakwood Knoll?

Oh, and by the way - what place is Blackcreek Crossing and where can I read about it?

Best Regards,

Mandras

PS! If anyone has made a good map of Shadowdale (especially about the village) and is ready to share it - I would be most grateful.

Leaning Tree is a trailside camp southeast of Spiderhaunt Wood, detailed in Dragon #294. Oakwood Knoll is a thorp introduced in Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land. Blackcreek Crossing is a freehold only mentioned in FRS1 The Dalelands:Besides the town of Shadowdale, there are no other communities or villages of note. However, there are some large, remote family freeholds that are home to as many as 20 to 30 kinsmen. These freeholds are usually known by the name of the family: Blackcreek Crossing, the Shallain Hold, and so on.One more less-obvious Shadowdale location is Moonfire, a holy place of Eldath mentioned by Ed Greenwood here (http://www.candlekeep.com/library/articles/sse/sse_070809-05.htm).

I don't know of any good fan maps, but here are some fan illustrations (http://www.candlekeep.com/gallery/gallery_12.htm).
