Fingoldfin 01-09-08, 05:33 PM	He is listed as living in Dragons of Faerun. I thought he died in the Weeping War. Did he appear in a novel that I missed? Is his status as living a misprint or did they just want to leave it vague for DMs? Does anyone know where I can find out more about him? I have the Myth Drannor box set 2e and the Fall of Myth Drannor 2e. Does Garnet appear in anything else?

(I briefly thought about making him one of the dragons in the Blackstaff ritual, but nixed the idea as too important to cameo without explanation or details (for which there was no room).) In other words, do with him what you will. Heck--he could be trying to assuage his guilt by helping to recreate what he helped destroy inadvertantly, and thus HE is the one trying to find the Highfire Crown and make new baneblades. Personally, I think he's been busy far away from Faerun, as he's fled the scene of his shame and been occupied for a few centuries fighting and killing enemies of The People either south of Chult or far to the west (maybe even Maztica?). But that's one person's opinion.
Old Sage 01-09-08, 07:40 PM	There's a few tidbits about Garnetallisar in Cormanthyr also. Garnet disappeared during the Weeping War that preceded the Fall of Myth Drannor. His fate remains a mystery. Intentionally so.

One by Symrustar Auglaumir, another by the Half-Dwarf during the attack that destroyed half the army in only 50 strikes of hammer and the last one in the hands of Captain Fflar Starbrow Melruth.

That was thousands of years before the Weeping War, and a group of High Mages managed to imprison the Khov'Annilesa above Myth Drannor until a dragon who knew no malice or greed flew over Castle Cormanthor. Since they spent so much time in the Prime Material world they couldn't be summoned. Malkizid confirmed their destruction during The Last Mythal trilogy.

18DELTA 01-13-08, 02:52 PM	Cormanthor's history is my speciality :P -Yeah, just reread the"Weeping War" entry in "AGHotR".:) I forgot that they were trapped in a extra-deminsional prison above the City!!!:eek: Hence they were allways in Faerun, so no summoning, just the original gating into the Realms.:D LORD DELTA:detect:
Andferne 01-13-08, 03:17 PM	Maybe he is the keeer of one of the Elfblades now? With his exstensive life maybe he found information about the Artblade and went to retrieve it and it now lays in his own hoard for protection? I think the Artblade and its last wielder (Starym?) were carried off by a Red Dragon during the war. Maybe he found who that dragon was and went to get some time of revenge. IDK just throwing an idea out there.
