Hidden City ??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-10-08, 01:27 PM I remember reading somewhere that there is a hidden elven city in Nikerymath. Does anybody know the name and reference? (I am not if it was named.)

It's probably in GHoFR, but last night and this morning, I was skimming the whole book trying to find the reference and ran out of time. Any help will be appreciated.

Why do you say it's a myth? A host of sources say it exists, or at the very least existed.

04-12-08, 03:57 AM Rucien-Xan is not a myth. The entry for 'Sehanine' in Demihuman Deities notes, rather specifically, that it exists/existed as an [secret] elven retreat. The fact that Sehanine has/had weaved an illusion around Rucien-Xan *could* be the reason why it is referenced as a "mythical" locale in the Vilhon Reach tome.

-Indeed. Other places Sehanine Moonbow lends some of her illusions, like Synnoria, for instance, we have irrefutable proof that said settlements exist. With Rucien-Xan, no such concrete evidence is availible, from the Faerūnian resident perspective, and from the gamer playing D&D perspective.
