09-12-07, 11:30 AM Yes, Deep Shanatar once covered the underground of Amn/Tethyr. I'm not sure where Holorarar was supposedly located, but is sort of implied to be near to Deep Shanatar.

09-12-07, 12:27 PM Eric Boyd created the hobgoblin kingdom, building off references in Steven Schend's Lands of Intrigue and Empires of the Shining Sea work, in Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark [pgs.113-114].

There's brief references in both Races of Faerūn and The Wyrmskull Throne as well.

High Shanatar was taken over by the fallen Kingdom of Mir. That was the surface part of Shanatar, and was located north of the forest of Mir, between Erlkazar (then Iltkazar), Tethyr, and the Arnaden (Lake of Steam Region).

Sage, is their a compilation anywhere of all the monster kingdoms of old? There are dozens upon dozens, and I am constantly running across new ones.

09-12-07, 04:33 PM When writing the article, I wanted a nifty hobgoblin kingdom for one of the disciplines and Holorarar fit the bill. There are a few snippets about it in Grant History of the Realms coming up.

Sage, is their a compilation anywhere of all the monster kingdoms of old? There are dozens upon dozens, and I am constantly running across new ones.Nothing comprehensive I'm afraid. As you're likely aware, sources like DDGttU and Serpent Kingdoms do their best to reference as many of the relevant monstrous realms apparent in the regions these sourcebooks focus on. Scattered references across a variety of sources mostly.
