Somebody talking about Drizzt? Right on. Let's do this. Are we talking equipment, attributes, class selection, or levels?

But, please, let's not do the whole "Is he better than his father?" bit. That's just tired.

Should we start a Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, Drizzt, thread to complement the Orc thread of similar repetitiousness (is that really a word?) ;)

/e changes just one instance of "Sun" to "Star" in the last post in order to watch Dan's head explode.

Oddly enough, in my own world, I had the Elves separated into two main types: Terran Elves and Celestial Elves. The Celestial Elves cosmetically had various themes of the heavens - stars, suns, and moons. The Terran Elves were more sylvan in origin, connected to the earth, plants, animals, etc. So, I guess, sort of, I had Star Elves in my world... Sort of.

No, just 20 flavors.:mage:

Congratulations Kerym. For guessing the flavors of emoticons #9 and #20 you recieve a lifetime supply of said flavors delivered by teleportation every other thursday at the place of your birth. Unfortunately delivery started three weeks ago due to transplanar inconsistencies. We at DKI join you in spirit during the cleanup efforts.;)

If only it was an infinite supply of chocolate raspberry truffle the mess would not matter. Anyone else have a jones for that flavor, it was the best ever. I hate Baskin Robbins for discontinuing it the damn bastiches.

Pumpkin ice cream?

Ah well, yanks will eat anything at least once, freeze it and put it on a stick and viola Pumpsickle. ;)

Don't even joke about it. Fortunately guessing that flavor actually clouds the knowledge of you from the flavor. Shh. Illithiberry attracted it's attention. Back away slowly.....

Either ignore the threads devoted to Drizzt in the title, or in the case of other subjects politely request that off-topic discussions including him be taken elsewhere.

The reason that Drizzt and Company make it into a majority of the threads is that he is a popular character. There are almost 20 novels and over half-a-dozen short stories about the different characters in the novels (the good, the bad and the Drow). In terms of just novels, there are more about him than any other FR character. At any of the major bookstores, there is an entire shelf devoted to Drizzt novels, and then follow the rest of the FR line. And of you look at all of the characters and situations that Salvatore has included, it covers the wide range of fantasy topics, especially with such an easily side-tracked group such as this.

That said, I do agree with the idea of your question: Are we too obsessed with this Drow Ranger? And to that I agree with you. I personally would like to see the Companions of the Hall, Artemis and Jarlaxle retired. I loved it when Salvatore took time away from them to write the Cleric Quintet, and I believe that he should do so again.

To those who might take this to mean I dislike Drizzt, keep in mind I just finished Spine of the World at work today, and shall begin Sea of Swords as soon as I log off of here.

I also do NOT mean this as a novel discussion, just a more complete answer to the original thread that any previously posted

If it's 31 flavors, then I want Pralines and Creme. :D

To go with my Beholder-berry pie and Elf-fingers...

GOLDEN Elf-fingers. :P

Oh... I almost forgot to say something in-topic...

There are so many threads about Driizt because Driizt is the Drizztiest character when it comes to playing Drizzt or anything Drizzt-like in most Drizzt situations because it's just so Drizzt... and Driizt... and Drizzt...

So your one-man crusade to solve this overpopulation-of-Drizzt-threads problem is...to...go start a thread about Drizzt. Yeah. That makes sense, dude.
