i need some help xD [Archive] - Wizards Community

i got some questions about imaskar and how it was build up like what the citys looks like end what aliment they did have as a nation . i did think the building is like some from persia or old irak not sure can some one help me about this woud be very nice . and the lord artificer is he whit stats ?.
got all the 3th ed books but cant find allot about it there , is it more books like 2ed or older that can be usefull for us. thx all

I have some questions about Imaskar and how the cities were built up (architecture), I think they looked a bit like buildings from ancient Persia and Iraq, I'm not sure though. Also, what kind of alignment was the norm? I was also looking for the stats of the Lord Artificier.

I have all the 3rd ed. books, are there more 2nd ed. books that are about Imaskar? Thanks all=)

Take a look at the 2nd edition downloads, they've got something about them there. As for the buildings, I reckon they could look like anything from the Middle East.

05-21-07, 01:15 PM The most stuff you are going to find is in 3e - Lost Empires of Faerūn.

There is a little bit in the history of the 2e Horde stuff as welll, available HERE (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads) for free download. There is an 'aberrant' reference in that product to a 'secret Imaskar Empire' being current, but that either references the underground settlement from Und (which I doubt), or the cabal of Imaskar Wizards who survived the fall and live in a fortress in the mountains of Ulgarth (MUCH more likely).

Architecture would be neo-persian I suspect, but picture it more fantastical and exaggerated do to heavy magical influences, and also the fact that they are expert planar travellers who probably picked-up quite a bit from other cultures as well. I picture them being similar to the kingdom that was pre-cursor to Stygia in the Kull stories (forget the name).

-Ah, yes. In the novel Darkvision, the protagonists venture into the Purple Palace. If you flip though that, you might get a little glimpse as to what Imaskari architecture was like.

-Well, since you do understand English, you can always order the novel in English, instead of waiting for it to be translated. Though, I'm sure that is probably a little expensive, and probably not worth it for one book.

Even English versions are bloody difficult. I've been waiting for the first Last Mythal book to arrive at the nearest (and only) game store since it was published. It seems to be some annoying trend in these parts. I keep seeing the 2nd and 3rd novels of the trilogy (got the anthology tho'), but can't seem to find the first. Had that happen with the Runelord series. Found 2nd-4th, but not 1st....grrrrr...and everytime I place an order for one, come back after the "2 week it should be here." line, I get "Sorry, but that book isn't in storage and hasn't been reprinted yet. We'll let you know when it is.":rant:

To be serious for just a moment, KtM is quite correct, the plains of purple dust are basically pulverized ruins from Imaskar.
