Information about Baldur’s Gate [Archive] - Wizards Community

-Foundation year or approximately age of the city
-Historical and date about Balduran travels
-Population
-Nobles and merchands houses names

All information, web link or book sources on the city is also great for building my campaign.

08-18-07, 07:42 PM Grand History of the Realms may provide some brief lore on the first two tidbits you're looking for. There isn't much on Balduran or his travels, specifically. Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast is one particular [and very brief] source for Balduran. The Gold & Glory tome briefly details the final resting place of Balduran, under the "Flaming Fist" section on pg. 10, though nothing is revealed about the man himself. Forgotten Realms Adventures, Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast and the 1e/2e FR campaign boxed sets will help to provide the rest.

Rather, it's best to head straight to the published and official Realmslore concerning Baldur's Gate. You can then be absolutely certain you'll have ONLY the canon facts about the city, its foundation, and whatever else is currently published about Baldur's Gate itself.
