| drthvader7106-10-07, 11:16 PM | Are there any published maps of Dark Arrow Keep? I'm running a FR campaign and my group is just wrapping up the Son's of Gruumsh and need some more orcs to keep them busy. Where exactly is Dark Arrow Keep? I'm guessing somewhere in the Silver Marches or Spine of the World but the resources I own don't really specify. |

(http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=12673557&postcount=5) There is no map I know of of Dark Arrow Keep itself, but the old Citadel many Arrows was a Dwarven Keep, now re-named Citadel Felbarr, and a map of IT exists in the Silver Marches sourcebook. |
| drthvader7106-10-07, 11:37 PM | Thanks for the feedback and map :D of the Silver Marches. I will add it to my ever-growing group of resources. Since no map exists any recommendations? Could I use another generic published map or an existing map of a location that would be similar to Dark Arrow Keep? Or would that be taboo  |
| MarkusTay6306-11-07, 12:08 AM | Since Dark Arrow Keep is entirely of Orcish design (:yuck: ), you can pretty much use a map of any basic keep to represent it. Just remember to 'ugly' it up a bit. ;) |
| Questing GM06-11-07, 11:59 AM | IIRC, Dark Arrow Keep was originally a keep built by Giants. By the time Obould and his troops escaped from Felbarr, they found it deserted and so the orcs refurbrished it with orcish designs. So whatever you are going to do, it should be at least LARGE enough to fit in giants...;) |
| MarkusTay6306-11-07, 12:38 PM | Where is that from? I know in the novels that Obould was actually constructing a string of forts in the mountains to defend his borders, and I thought Dark Arrow Keep was also built from scratch. Although the giant-size thing makes sense either way, considering his allies. |
| Questing GM06-11-07, 11:48 PM | Oppss...i checked again in the Silver Marches, it wasn't built by giants but by 'slave-driving orcs' that were lost to some battle or other reasons. However, Obould was not the original builder and held the keep for himself after he drove away the giants occupying it. So, while the giants were able to stay in it, it still speaks about the considerable size it would have been. |
| Slayergnome06-12-07, 07:45 AM | Really depends on the giants in question. Also where in the keep they stayed. |
