Do any of these Lords take any direct role in the Prime Plane at all. I want to know all but the three I am looking into are Fierna, Mephistopheles, or Asmodeus. I am wanting to make a character that was given or sacraficed to one of these, but instead of dying they were taken and experimented on and when those were done they were sent back to the Prime. Any thoughts would help.

Depends on whether or not you're the DM... if you are, they can have as much of a role as you want them to. If you're a player, I'd say ask the DM since it would be a waste of time to develop it only to have them torpedo it before you can use them.

Other than that, I'm not terribly familiar with how the Archdevils interact with Faerun in particular... BoVD mentions a few prestige classes and cults, so its presumable that the ones with PrCs associated with them could conceivably have a few fingers in the Realms. Don't know of anything specific though... might try asking over at Candlekeep though, or possibly Planewalker might have something on it.

Malkizid and Gargauth (Tenth lord of Nine) are the main Archdevil players on Fearun. The others of the Nine Lords of Hell dont make regular appearances on fearun but do have worshippers and cults active.

Just pick one like Mammon and have fun with the vile fiendish feats on your character!

The feats Disciple of "insert name of Archdevil here" (as well as Thrall of "insert name of Demon Prince here" and I think that Scion of Sorrow too for Yugoloths) were incorporated to the Forgotten Realms in Champions of Ruin, so I suppose that all of them have some measure of interest in the material plane.

All of the Lords of the Nine Hells have some interaction with the prime. They are all trying to get more powerful and rule everything. The next step in that power structure would to become a god. To do this, they employ agents and sometimes even make contact with certain mortals to create or expand cults that worship them so that they can have a chance to become a god. A perfect example of this is Gargauth, mentioned above by Suin, who was a Lord of the Nine Hells and who eventually became a god. The archdevils also have contact with the prime material plane through agents sent there to make deals with mortals for their souls, which is how some Warlocks come to be. If you can get your hands on it, the Book of Vile Darkness will help you understand these Archdevils better. Also, the Fiendish Codex 2 will give you more info on the landscape of the 9 hells and some feats you might want to use for the character you are planning on running.

Ah, Gargauth. He is so evil even the dukes of hell expelled him because of distrust. He holds nearly all significant information in the realms and twists it between his claws to further his power. Look into the Knight of the Shield for more on his tactics...

One of my PC's is a tiefling beguiler, a son of Gargauth. The Tenth lord of Nine leaves women of the realms with his monstrous children, after he has ruined their lives by corruption and setting up himself to help fend off the poor lass her "problems". Did I say he was despiccably evil? Yes? Oh. He IS.

None of them in particular have a massive influence on Toril beyond some mortal cults. On some level it's beneath their notice. It's one particular prime material world among an infinity or near infinity of others, and it's more in their long term interests to use it as a source for a steady trickle of mortal souls, and subtly trying to influence mortal affairs to increase the rate at which such souls flow to the 9 Hells.

Affairs on the Lower Planes as a whole are more important to them than a single world like Toril. They have the tanar'ri raging at their gates, and a myriad of petty gods from multiple pantheons to deal with, along with their own internal politics. By comparison to those concerns, Asmodeus et al don't have much time to spare for dealing with Toril, which is where presumably the various lesser nobility of Baator might be found, along with rank and file fiends in service to the Dark 8, and exiles such as Gargauth.

While Gargauth still risks obliteration if he ever returned to Baator, his presence as a god on Toril only serves to further the goals of distant masters back in the Hells. He can claim his own important all he likes, but when it comes down to it, he's acting as a pretty decent proxy on the Lords of the 9s behalf to further their abstract goals without them having to shackle themselves to Ao's dictates for any being of their caliber having a formal divine presence on Toril. He's doing their dirty work for them.

Ah, Planescape lore.....where if you're not Planescape, you're just another cony waiting for a cager to give 'im the real dark or put 'im in the dead-book.

I imagine Gargauth actually actively hunts down any archdevils and demons he can find on Toril. He posesses an artifect or some sort of dark knowledge and can and has absorbed several archfiends to achieve ascenscion. Yeah, Gargauth should not try to go away from his playground just yet, he needs to be a greater god at least to survive the lower planes.

Is Gargauth mentioned in other sourcebooks other then Forgotten Realms. I have a lot and I don't believe he is mentioned, even in the 3e books. I have seen Malkizid mentioned once though.

I was wondering, because if he i the so called Tenth Lord of the Nine, then why isn't he mentioned. Is it that Asmodeus fears him so much he doesn't even mention him? I don't know?

Do you think he will try to fight Asmodus?

Yes, he's mentioned in Dragon 91 as an exiled archdevil (with the same backstory for his exile that would be developed more in later sources). He also appears in Dragon 357 (the Savage Tidings article on the Abyss) as having been responsible for the dead of the Abyssal Lord Astaroth.

Reference to Gargauth isn't restricted to FR. He's part of the backhistory of the 9 Hells (having been kicked out following the death of Beherit by Asmodeus, just prior to the rise of Baalzebul as Beherit's replacement as Lord of the 7th). He'd get more mention, but he's both obscure and not especially involved in planar affairs as far as exiled archdevils go.

I was wondering, because if he i the so called Tenth Lord of the Nine, then why isn't he mentioned. Is it that Asmodeus fears him so much he doesn't even mention him? I don't know?

It's because that title is self-granted in exile. He doesn't have any authority in Baator, and as a demigod whose worship appears restricted to one world, at the moment the Lords of the 9 have little to worry about. In fact his actions seem to benefit them in the long term as far as spreading a similar ethos in places they otherwise wouldn't personally be acting.

I thought I'd mention that some of the later books in the Avatar series mention Cyric hunting down a tome written by Gargauth in the distant past, detailing beings more powerful than overdeities and ways of piercing godly powers (used in the novels to hide a certain object from deities). So I've always seen him as having more knowledge and potential influence than his divine rank might suggest.

Gargauth is also mentioned in FR Faith and Pantheons.

I'd also look in the FR Player's Guide in the back where they have PrC for exalted and vile characters. There are some deities in the Book of Exalted Deeds, and the Book of Vile Darkness that have equivalents in FR campaign setting and I believe that they also include witch Demon Princes and Devil Dukes have cults in Faerun.
