What's a Malaugrym?
What does it look like?
Does it use magic? what kind of magic does it use, I heard a rumor that they use some kind of unknown magic not discovered yet.
Are they superpowerful like Elminster?

-Yes, yes they use magic. Nothing about it being foreign and alien, however. Closest is that they, themselves, are foreign and alien.

Are they superpowerful like Elminster?

-The term is very subjective, but I think that they are rather practiced in the Art, yes.

Given the evident proliferance of Aberrations in 4e FR, I wouldn't doubt it.

Then again, they are one of Ed's creations, so I'm sure 'someone' has decided they gotta go. :rolleyes:

Both of them. Ones in it's natural form, while the other is what it looks like when it takes human form (one possible look, anyway).

-I think so. That said, however, the Shades aren't necessarily inferior to the Malaugrym because they were, more or less, created by WotC, and planted in the setting, with the Return of Shade. The Malaugrym have their own faults and cliches as well. That's for those who get the wrong impression.

Either way, I have no problems with Shades, since they are originaly from GH and I like that setting as well.

At least the Shades aren't as bad as Draconians and WoW-style Tieflings. :rolleyes:

Mr. Kemp made me like Shadowcrap when he writes about it. If someone else is writing about them, all bets are off (I could like it, but I'm biased against it).
