| Zanan10-18-07, 05:06 PM | Well, have a look at the list I assembled. It covers what we know up to and including WotSQ. LP I & II will be included soon, but they have not touched on Menzo. Do note that the list is only from sources published and it could well be that the designers / powers that be have changed it for future books. http://www.dnd-gate.de/gate3/page/index.php?id=420 (Actually, it reflects 1373 D.R. now.) |
| Riley_the_architect10-28-07, 01:58 PM | Thanks for your answer Zanan :D The web, www.dnd-gate.de, is very nice and interesting :) I'm waitting a new information about Menzoberranzan in a 4th edition  Riley |
| Riley_the_architect11-12-07, 07:47 PM | Hi again! I find this grafic here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Menzoberranzan_Houses_hierarchy.jp g) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/0f/Menzoberranzan_Houses_hierarchy.jpg/500px-Menzoberranzan_Houses_hierarchy.jpg It explains something about the Menzoberranzan Council's :D Riley |
| The_Shaman12-11-07, 05:26 PM | There you go: in drow high society, sometimes sitting on your own d****d behind gets you more than rushing along doing things. Small, innocuous Fey-Branche ends up higher than the ambitious Do'Urdens ever got. I didn't get one thing though - what happens to House Agrach Dyrr, does it disappear or merge with Baenre? BTW, is the Spider Mage still around? I found it interesting how he's one of the big enigmas in Menzoberranzan and no one had figured him out. |
| Redrake12-14-07, 01:45 PM | I didn't get one thing though - what happens to House Agrach Dyrr, does it disappear or merge with Baenre? I believe this is explained in Homeland. The house is nearly destroyed by another house except for 2 surviving children. They are taken by Baenre while the house who failed to eliminate them is destroyed. I don't remember the name of that house though. |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit12-14-07, 04:18 PM | No, House Dyrr still exist but as a vessal house to Baerne. Basicly they are in bondage, and a ficture of the house they are bond to. So after the century long servitude they will go back to be their own house, though albeit at a weaker station (you know betrayel and somsuch leaves a bad impression). |
| Zanan12-16-07, 11:54 AM | I believe this is explained in Homeland. The house is nearly destroyed by another house except for 2 surviving children. They are taken by Baenre while the house who failed to eliminate them is destroyed. I don't remember the name of that house though. Not exactly. This time around, while the city was fighting the invasion forces, House Xorlarrin (and some detachments from other houses) fought against renegade Dyrr. Once the war was over and the lich removed from the scene, House Dyrr and Baenre agreed a ceasefire. House Dyrr became indeed a vassal of House Baenre afterwards (dunno, 100 years or so) and was removed from the Ruling Council. Hence, all exisiting Houses moved up the ladder. |
| Zireael12-17-07, 02:37 AM | The events in Homeland are Teken'duis not Agrach Dyrr. Dyrr are explained in Anihilation (WotSQ series) Pity that they did became low... and lichdrow has died... they'd make an excellent adventure... but such was the will of the Spider Queen:) |
