Mulhorand Undead Campaign [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-18-07, 03:51 PM Recently my crew has began a undead slaying party in the land of mulhorand. I am in the chair and am looking for some truly new ideas for this very classic theme. I would appreciate any ideas anyone puts forward, the more original the better. So lets here your ideas for Villans, Sites, Curses, whatever

10-20-07, 09:56 AM Villains: Mummies carrying ankhs, with the soutern magic feat, and (divine) minions of Set as lackeys. Headed by a member of the Fangs of Set located in Skuld, Hodkamset a 22 level necromancer. Planning to replace the vibrant Horustep III, God King of Mulhorand, with a nonrotting undead servitar bound to the will of Set.
Sites: -A ziggurat or pyramid in the wasteland of the battlefields between Unther and Mulhorand.
-A great mobile temple of Set on deserttracks, pulled by undead elephants.
-A flying scarab filled with wondrous magical device for scrying.
Curses: Every object blessed by Set has an unholy quality, bestowing negative levels to non-evil users. Malevolent curses that change the shape of subjects to donkeys, snakes or small reptiles.

I get the mummified but why the fiendish blue dragon seems unneeded but very cool

10-22-07, 02:24 AM Blue Dragons are primarily a desert living creature and adding the fiendish template gives it more flavor as well as an extra kick your PCs may not be expecting

10-22-07, 02:33 AM You might want to take a good look at Sandstorm for desert based undead ideas. They have one called the "Crawling Apocalypse" that is a mummified kraken that swims through sand instead of water. I know it's not FR specific, but it's definitely worth a look. I seem to remember a good half of the creatures in there being undead, or something ridiculous like that.

What level are they now? How long do you plan on this campaign running? How high of a level do you expect them to reach? These might help with more specific suggestions.
