With the recent resettlement of Myth Drannor at hand, and with a new Coronal, will she recreate the titles of Spell-Major and Captains and Arms-Major and Captains? If so, any ideas of who will claim the titles?

Also, any names of the current families in Myth drannor at the present, I know it's mainly an amry encampment as of now, but there must be some families of old Myth Drannor present?

What of the Demron's Blades, has anyone heard of there recent locations? How about the Elfblades of Cormanthyr?

Of Demron's blades, Fflar has Keryvian. And I was told that the Warblade makes an appearance in the Shadowdale module.

I've read that it does make an appearance, too. I assume the Crownblade will be given to the new Coronal when the Shrinshee returns. what of the Artblade? and Demron's other blades?

The coronal has the Crownblade at the end of the book, so we know where it is.

-TigCorrection--we know where the Crownblade is as of 20 Marpenoth, 1380 DR, for that is when the epilogue takes place.

The main story of the Last Mythal trilogy concludes on 22 Eleasias 1374 DR. Thus with the new "War for Myth Drannor" (see Volo's Guide to Myth Drannor in Dragon #354 and Shadowdale: the Scouring of the Land) we have up to five full years, one month, two tendays, and 8 days during which the new inhabitants of Myth Drannor, or agents and adventurers working on their behalf, may be seeking out or fighting for the lost elfblades. That timeline gap makes for a perfect opportunity for campaigns based around reclaiming Myth Drannor.

Keryivian is on the wall at the female arcane archer's fathers house in the novel Forsaken House. Or am i wrong now?

(refering to the betrothed of the main char wizard elf dude...)

Don't remember any names now.

The Warblade should be in the ruins of Mearimydra, the drow-city under shadowdale (City of the Spider Queen). It has been stated in LEoF that it lies in the temple of Loth there.
Interestingly, CoSQ does not mention it, as the temple has gone to ruins now. IMHo it is most likely the Blade just lies around there, because no one hase been able to take the blade without some deadly problems ;)

The Crownblade "is", as stated, with the Shrinshee at the moment. Wherever she is.

The Artblade is rumoured to be with Josidiyah Starym in Arvandor (LEoF), which I doubt. Imho its either in a nice dragons hoard or, more my opinion, it has been destroyed in a "retributive strike" by Josidiyah when defending the school of magic back in the weeping wars. The description of the explosion then could not have been a spell of Josidiah, he did not have any spells left that day afaik.
So I would like to see it that a new Artblade will be created by the new group of High Mages in MD.

edit: Ah, Khervian *was* hanging on the walls but is now, 1374, at the hips of Fllar Starbrow in MD. All the other Baneblades are most likely lying around in Faerun, for any PC to take them (who meet the criteria).

daniel, I asked one in the CK forums and the Artblade still exists; it's probable that Josidyah is guarding it until somebody worthy appears to retrieve it.

-I don't know how much depth the articles go into, but I know that the last couple of DRAGON Magazines had a few running articles about Myth Drannor, and the reconstruction efforts.

the two are good reads but not especially "in depth"I personally was a bit disappointed by the article in Dragon #359.

When I read the words "city stat-block" somewhere in connection to this article, I assumed it is going to include information that I would not have been able to put together on my own, such as:

*The alignment, level, and class(es) of the city Authority Figures and Important Characters (Isevle, Fflar, Araevin, Knights of Myth Drannor, etc).
*The levels, classes, and numbers of the city guard/militia/elite troops.
*a full account of the all powers of the newly restored and reshaped mythal, rather than just stating the easily assumed fact that it halts aging/hunger/thirst and has some "protective/defensive" powers.

Instead the bulk of the article focused on history that could really have been read about or aggregated from other sources, and gave a city alignment, racial breakdown, population, an gp spending limit that one could have put together on their own with a minimal amount of information, by using the DMG demographics rules. The only thing that would differ is that in this case the population has warriors in place of commoners.

The only thing that was of particular use was the map, as I do not have the time or the patience to sift through AD&D downloads to find one and update it on my own.

We know where two of the elf blades are:
1. the crownblade is with the shrinshee and the fate of hte war blade is detailed in the shadowdale module. <spoiler> as of the end of SHadowdale:Tearing of the weave the warblade is either in the hands of a party member or has been passed to Myth Drannor by the party. It was taken from the temple in MAerymidra by the last remaining house of Drow as the city fell and shows up as one of hte major rewards in the adventure. By cannon at the end of the adventure it is in Myth Drannor but no one has yet taken it up.</spoiler> now we need to find the art blade and the rest of Demron's blades - wiht their handles they should be pretty distinctive.

Keryiavn is with Fflar and was in the care of Of the leader of the Crusade until he gave it to Fflar on returning him to Toril from Arvandor. the locations of the others are unknown/unlisted.

-I must have gotten ahead of myself, then. I did realize that it was an ongoing series in DRAGON, but I didn't realize that there were only two articles. Between you, me, and the wall, that isn't very "ongoing". Maybe if DRAGON wasn't slain, there might have been more articles. Hey, there might be more articles on that online D&D thingy that's taking DRAGON's place.

Let me rephrase. The Volo's articles numbered 6+, two of which were on Cormanthor. Other subjects included an update of the Mulhorand/Unther conflict, Semmenon, Thrones of the North, etc

Actually, I'd be quite surprised if Aerevin takes up the Artblade. Imho he does not show any signs of commitment or the devotion for MDII requested by the Elfblades.
As the last chapter in LMT says, he "can't do anything more" in MDII. That is definetely a kind of a lie and shows his self-centered view of his doings. As Spell-Major, he'd be responsible for building the Akh'Velhar from scratch - that'd be not possible in some single years.

If he'd try, he most likley gets severed from magic as another person in history once had the problem :)
So - lets get surprised by the next story about MDII

Plus, Araevin is a Grand Mage of Cormanthyr.

daniel, is actually the Akh'Faer.

At least in my campaign there is one Sun Elf who can draw the Artblade sucessfully. It's my character Alediran, who was trained from young age by his parents, to be a good wizard and by his uncle, to be the new Spell-Major if the oportunity presented during Alediran's lifetime. His uncle lived in Myth Drannor and was a friend of Josidyah, who told him how to be accepted by the blade and he used that knowledge to mold part of Alediran's character.

It would be cool if a Starym or a Haladar came back to Myth Drannor and became the new Spell-Major or captain like their ancestors. How about a Selorn or Olortynnal returning as Arms-Major or Captain.

Araevin would make a poor Spell-Major, agreed!

Well, I dislike that Myth Drannor is not a ruin anymore. I mean I understand that a place must exist for the new wizardly orders to come from. It makes sense from the context of 4E. Not that some of the designers are using some common sense anyway with the Realms. Yet I liked the Last Mythal series. I hate what he( Rich Baker) did to the Demonfey. ;)
