Need some Loth spoilers... [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-24-07, 05:51 PM I have not read any of the War of the Spider Queen series but am just starting to run City of the Spider Queen again for some new players. I was wondering if anything ever became of the silence of Lolth. Why did this happen, has it been revealed? Is she still silent to her clerics? Any info on this would help a lot.

She was silent to gain power, she became a greater power (im pretty sure) and moved to a different home plan. Nothing really big happens, Triel still head of first house, Quenthal became the mistress of the acadamey, Gromph is still Archmage. They are some great spell battles if you in to those, so go ahead and read them. But what you want to read and/or get spoiled for is the lady penient series, a spinn off from the WotSQ series.

ps. so far Vhaerien's Dies, and so does Kieshalie. (Male god and goddess of death. if you cant read my horriable spelling.)

I'm sure that logically he should be mentioned in the war of the spider queen...and I guess that elf chick Artemis was with..but he is pretty powerful so I'm sure you would hear his name more. (Also considering since Jarlaxelles Band of Drow went back to the underdark)

10-27-07, 11:23 PM To correct your spelling, it's Vhaeraun and Kiaransalee. And Kiaransalee was more the Goddess of Necromancy as well as death.

And another question that is a spoiler alert:

Now that Eilistraee has control of Vhaeraun's portfolios, has she become more powerful, and has she suffered an alignment change as a result?

10-28-07, 04:30 AM The War of the Spider Queen has nothing to do with events of the Lady Penitent series, at least when it comes to Vhaeraun and Kiaransalee.

Lolth did it to remove the Demonweb Pits from the "Core Abyss" and create a plane of her own, most likely in direct opposition to the Seldarine's Arvandor. The new structure of the FR pantheon is presented in the FRCS and Players' Guide to Faerūn.

RAS' input in the WotSQ novels was the general background, he apparently had no hand in the events described.

We have no clue whatsoever on the outcome of the Lady Penitent deicide.

Phelf ... if you write spoilers, make sure that you leave enough space empty for the next article, of people will eventually see what you wrote when they look at the next article. You could, of course, simply use the hide option, that is using (SPOILER) and (/SPOILER) in the usually square brackets.
