Nesme - Information? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-26-07, 11:35 PM I need some information and I was shocked to see that it isn't listed in the either the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting or the Silver Marches books. Sorry if this has been brought up before. I ran a search and didn't find the info I was looking for.

Where can I read in more detail about Nesme. It's still on the map. I remember in the game Demon Stone for PS2 that they said Nesme was destroyed, but I'm not sure if that is cannon.

Does anyone know what the symbol or standard of Nesme was? Thanks!

07-27-07, 02:22 AM See The North and Volo's Guide to the North, both free downloads (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads). Nesmé's destruction isn't canonical unless The Grand History of the Realms surprises us and makes it so.

07-27-07, 04:46 AM I've not read them myself... but wasn't Nesmé's [near] destruction noted in the last trilogy of 'Drizzt' novels?

07-27-07, 07:46 AM I have read that trilogy and Nesme was destroyed by an army of trolls and their allies along with outlying farm steads.

There were a few survivors chased by said monsters that the dwarves managed to save, no more than a couple of thousands, that moved back in but their fate remains dubious in light of the fast approaching winter.

I remember seeing the symbol of Nesme in the Demon Stone game for PS2. Was the symbol drawn from some source, or was it made up for the game?

Anyone remember what that symbol was or can anyone post a link to a screenshot?
