| ItalianDM11-17-07, 08:11 AM | Hi, i'm preparing for a new campaign and i need some info to keep it in line with the canon. In my campaign some terribile secrets from the past are discovered by a young and ambitious Luskan mage, and this starts a chain of events who could possibly lead to a cataclysm. I want to focus on the history of the realms, telling the players stories about ancient powers and empires. Ok, so this is my problem. One of the forces in play in this campaign is a powerful orc shaman who was a leader of his people during the crush of illusk in -2103 DR. I've bought Grand History of the realms to have a good timeline, but it seems that there are no info on what happened to the orcs after that. It's told that the Netherese mages refounded illusk as a magocracy in -425, but what happened to the orcs and the giants and the ogres who conquered it 1500 years before? Where can i find info on the orcs of the north between these 2 dates? Thanks! |

There isn't any information but as I'm the guy who has provided all of the "Illusk" dates after that -2103 DR one, I can say with fair certainty that the horde continued on south till it was dealt with by the elves of Illefarn, or more correctly the elven subkingdom of Rilithar which existed in the Neverwinter Wood at the time. So, in simple terms, that particular horde ... died. As for orcs, giants and ogres generally between those two dates - there is no information available. Make up what suits you. -- George Krashos |
