| halaster5357901-15-08, 05:09 PM | Is it true that Halaster was killed in "spoiler" "Expedition to Undermountain"? |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin01-15-08, 05:55 PM | More or less--he soul was torn asunder or something. He is currently not in the picture. |
| Kenzuki01-15-08, 07:03 PM | It had to be the most anticlamatic thing I've read in a while... Didn't they like find him dead or something? |
| Lord Karsus01-16-08, 12:08 AM | -Halaster Blackcloak apparently foresaw the Spellplague. What exactly he learned, and how, is currently unknown. He began preparing for it, attempting to develop a way to counter it. However, there was an arcane accident (I believe that had something to do with the Liches of the Twisted Rune), and this resulted in Halaster's death. His soul was shattered into multiple fragments, and who knows what happened with them. Until they are all united once more, Halaster cannot be raised, either. |

He knew too much, Richard Baker killed him.....oh and took his stuff.;) |
| GreenKnight01-16-08, 10:35 AM | Is it true that Halaster was killed in "spoiler" "Expedition to Undermountain"? ...if you were gonna put spoiler space, then shouldn't you have put the bit about Halaster dying AFTER the spoiler warning? :uh-huh: |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin01-16-08, 01:24 PM | ...if you were gonna put spoiler space, then shouldn't you have put the bit about Halaster dying AFTER the spoiler warning? :uh-huh: Good point... And yeah, the "he was killed for trying to deflect the Spellplague" explanation oddly works on a level outside of the setting. |
| Lykor01-16-08, 06:37 PM | And yeah, the "he was killed for trying to deflect the Spellplague" explanation oddly works on a level outside of the setting. You mean like how he died in FR in a Core (ie Greyhawk) module? @OP: you can use [sblock] [ /sblock] to make the black spoiler bar. |
| MarkusTay6301-16-08, 06:48 PM | Why do thread titles always make my imagination wander? This has nothing to do with the OP, but... The Blackstaff The Blackcloak Hmmm... Could it be, that these are both just pieces of the Dark Regalia? Okay, so now who's The Blackhat? :thinks: |
| Khaelieth01-16-08, 06:50 PM | He knew too much, Richard Baker killed him.....oh and took his stuff.;) Phat lewts, y'know! Gief epix plx! |
| Rinonalyrna Fathomlin01-16-08, 07:02 PM | You mean like how he died in FR in a Core (ie Greyhawk) module? I mean it as being kind of what Kenzuki described--Halaster saw the Spellplague coming, but the developers wanted it to happen, so they "assassinated" Halaster to prevent him from stopping their diabolical scheme. |
| Lord Karsus01-16-08, 07:09 PM | You mean like how he died in FR in a Core (ie Greyhawk) module? -He actually died in AGHotR. I made a big stink about that (Since it was Core D&D, it can not canon Realms). Either Brian or GK dismissed me, and then told me that it was going to be included in AGHotR, making it official. |

| Lord Karsus01-17-08, 11:11 AM | So you were SUMMONED? I always new you were a Fiend!!! -Apparently, I'm a vestige now. |
