| Jhiroth06-02-07, 04:05 AM | Does anyone know if the Half-Shadow dragon drow characters from the Dragons of Faerun Web Enhancement are capable of casting draconic magic? Regarding the city of Shade - Is it reasonable to believe that if Shade stayed as a flying city during the fall of Netheril, and even remains so today, that they are in fact possessed of epic shadow magic that rivals elven high magic? Is Shade also possibly using a shadow variant mythallar? It says in LoD that they are gathering small pieces of the broken mythallar at the Ancient Netherese Outpost, but I couldn't find any more details. Anyone have a list of known Demiliches? Or better yet, who was the first demilich? Edit: It says in the Netheril boxed set that Dethed was killed by Ioulaum for using his Dethed's Trap spell to take over the body of another arcanist's apprentice. Yet it also says in Champions of Ruin that Dethed's skeleton is Aumvor's phylactery... What gives? Thanks in advance for any responses. |

Regarding the city of Shade - Is it reasonable to believe that if Shade stayed as a flying city during the fall of Netheril, and even remains so today, that they are in fact possessed of epic shadow magic that rivals elven high magic? -They are in possession of a damaged Mythallar, which is an artifact, and, as far as we know, still operates using True 9+ Level magic. Is Shade also possibly using a shadow variant mythallar? -Some sources say yes, some sources say no. I believe that the last source mentioned that it was a Mythallar using the Shadow Weave. |

I believe that the last source mentioned that it was a Mythallar using the Shadow Weave. Know which source that was by chance? Thanks! |

| zerodeviere06-09-07, 12:44 PM | That source is correct... they had 2 regular mythallars and one using shadow weave which helped them stay aloft long enough to enter the shadow realm. No idea if that number has changed since then or not though. While their magic is powerful magic indeed I would have to say that it still is nowhere near as powerful as Elven high magic. But thats just my opinion. =-) |

While their magic is powerful magic indeed I would have to say that it still is nowhere near as powerful as Elven high magic. But thats just my opinion. =-) -You really can't compare the two. It's like apples and oranges- sure, they are both fruits, but one is citrus, and the other isn't. And anyway, the powerful magic the Netherese used doesn't exist anymore, so it's kind of a moot argument. |
