Well.

It's all I could find.
Thing is, I just made a sunelf wizard, and added Craft caligraphy, craft bookbinding and Craft alchemy. We are going to start up a new campaign starting in Cormyr and I was allowed to be upper upper class Evermeet born.
I started the search and found Elasha. Perfect as a mother of my charatcer, then I tried to find other family members and stumbled across Tanyl. Elasha is perfect because she is a cleric of Labelas, which is perfect for my character. She is also the librarian of Queen Amlauril, which just adds a bunch of flavour to the character. It also fits perfectly with the craftskills i chose from my charatcer. But who is Tanyl Evanara? Are they related?

Does anyone have more knowledge of the Evanara family or the two individual persons?

I don't have additional data to share with you, but extended families are a norm for elves of Faerun. The most powerful of Houses are widespread families with relations in many parts of the world.

Tanyl could be a distant cousin from the same family.

Shouldn't matter if they were both of the same subrace... there's plenty of precedence for several different subraces to exist within the same family. The Starym family for instance...

Which is absolutely correct.
I am just trying to find out if my character could be related to Tanyl.
It would be nice if anyone had knowledge of these two characters from books or other material.
I think I will play him as a brother or cousin to my mother, since there is only 20 years in difference between them.

If there is no additional information to dig out about these persons - I'd like to thank those who stopped by and took time to answer my Question.

I know i'll have fun playing the character i made either way.
