| Burningspear03-18-07, 05:45 PM | I wanted to originate my newest character form this region, and it not being fully fleshed out, i thought i would have a go at it, with help from the books and u guy's and galls, Samarach Recommended Subraces: Tashalan, Halruaan, Chultan. Automatic Languages: Tashalan Bonus Languages: Halruaan, Chultan, Draconic, Yuan'Ti. Favorite Deities: Savras, Talona, Garagos, Set (Yuan'Ti). Cyric (Leira), Waukeen, Sharess, Regional Feats: Snake Blood, Foe Hunter, Jungle Stamina, Militia, Spell Wise. Bonus Equipment: (A) Any Spear*, Glaive*, (B) 1 scroll of Major Image. *masterwork Desciption: Samarach is a vassal state of Nimbral, and as such has a magical inclination towards religion, but unlike their "Master state", they do not venerate the Goddess of Illusions, but instead revere Savras, the all seeing. Talona is also very prominent, but in this case she is venerated by more lenient and benevolent priests interested in studying and cataloging the multitude of diseases and poisons found in the tropical forests nearby. A few of the more industrious people of Samarach incline their favor to Waukeen, and the more destructive towards Garagos, the master of singular battle. Set is lastly mostly venerated by the various Yuan'ti clans in his aspect as Sseth, sponsor of the reptile races. The Samarashans are very independed (read, Xenophobic) minded, and as such use magic to cloak the various ways of travel through the mountains and to the cities they populate. I just filled in some blanks regarding religion, and items, and took the info from the books PgtF and RoF. (could not coment on Cyric/ Leira, as i dont have access to the details in the book serpent kingdoms) more ideas when i get them, and any thought from other people?:plotting: feedback much appreciated. |

Where are the Quicksilver eyed rulers of that land? I am thinking the region could be a little more "developed" in the sence of a few proper cities and such, and maybe it could even be the sight where Maalthiir would want to set up his new camp?, any thoughts on that? :tie: |

There's Samargol. Other than that, I'm afraid my knowledge of Samarach is lacking terribly:( |
| Burningspear03-18-07, 11:31 PM | Nimbral. I knew that :tie:, it was more a sarcastic way of looking for anything but freaking gnomes :D... but thnx anyway |
| Burningspear03-20-07, 04:21 PM | So many view's yet no input, hmmz, thats a shame, no ppl any ideas about my thoughts? Is it not a good idea to have Maalthiir set up shop near such great magical lands? |
| TomCosta03-20-07, 04:38 PM | Didn't the Samarach region appear in the errata for the Players Guide to Faerun? |
| Burningspear03-20-07, 05:35 PM | Didn't the Samarach region appear in the errata for the Players Guide to Faerun? Actually, it seems to be so, but i think that attempt in itself is a bit sad.. "just a filling up of blanks" so to say. *excerpt from Errata: Region: Samarach Recommended Subraces: Chultan, Tashalan Automatic Languages: Chultan Bonus Languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Goblin, Tashalan, Yuan-ti Favored Deities: Kossuth, Lathander, Malar, Set, Sharess, Ubtao Regional Feats: Foe Hunter, Militia, Snake Blood Bonus Equipment: (A) Scimitar* or composite shortbow*, or (B) potion of bear’s endurance |
| Burningspear03-21-07, 12:03 AM | And it seems to me that there are even things missing, like: Spellwise, Jungle Stamina, Mercantile Background are not in the list, while they are in the book PgtF. more to come :tie: |
| Ramar Aulinvox03-21-07, 08:54 AM | What are you using for sources about Samarach? The largest amount of information, in 3ed that I've seen is in Serpet Kingdoms and it never gave me the impression that the people were big on trading (they're isolationists) and they are afraid to even enter the jungle. The Spellwise feat I'll buy; however, why isn't Leira(Cyric) listed on the preferred dieties list since the reason that the current High Phantasmage isn't giving up his position is to root out the priesthood of Leira that they kicked out of Nimbral during the time of troubles. |

I might have accidentally mixed up Tashalar and Samarach, hmmz. I don't have access to that book so i don't know about those details, will at least edit the feat Mercantile background out of the list :tie: With the info about the region via the errata, i made a few adjust ments to feats, languages and religions, i also took the gems away from bonus equipment list, as that was for the trading feat. |
