Korathan 01-25-08, 10:33 PM	I am working on beginning a campaign set in the lands of Chessenta, Unther and Mulhorand. I was wondering what, if any, sourcebooks have been released that detail these places. I have the main campaign setting book which of course has some information. I also have the Dragons of Faerūn sourcebook which discusses some of the local politics from the perspective of a few dragons that reside there. I also have whatever information is in the history book which came out relatively recently (haven't read the book cover-to-cover, so unsure what I'll find here yet, but I do have it). If I have to, I can make do with just the above, and fill in the blanks on my own as I go along, but I was really hoping for just a little bit more information to go on to save me a little work. I'm not worried about statistical type information, so I don't care what edition of D&D this information comes from; I just want as much setting information as possible on these regions. Thanks in advance for any help I get.

Lost Empires is great, and I haven't even read Old Empires, but I heard Old Empires is excellent if you are looking for great detail specifically given to the Old Empires themselves. You might also like Grand History of the Realms if you don't already have it.

No, last I recall Unapprochable East had chapters for Aglarond, Thay, the Great Dale, Rashemen, and Thesk
MarkusTay63 01-27-08, 07:37 PM	Under the Thay section, you will find a little bit of Mulhorand history, but only in as much as it pertains to Thay. You will also find the same in the Aglarond section, pertaining to Unther.
sckeener 01-29-08, 03:09 PM	Old Empires tops the list. add in Powers & Pantheons for the gods. Even if the Untheric gods are dead they still have tons of followers. In my Old Empires campaign for 3.5, I started adding more of the old religions back into the Realms. Before the gods were trapped in the old empires, but once AO removed the barrier and the gods left...I had it work that now all the old gods could be accessed so I returned a few faiths to the Realms...such as Sehkmet. Lost Empires of Faerun is also a resource. Talks about some of the Untheric god tombs. "War Upon the Sands" in Dragon #358 Rand's Travelogue: More Old Empires (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr/fx20020116rt) There are several articles on wotc site...I remember several portal articles and a history of Unther....
