| Kaewin05-04-07, 10:53 AM | How old does a book have to be before referances to the are not considered spoilers? |
| Old Sage05-04-07, 11:21 AM | Over at Candlekeep, we generally adopt the three-to-six month period. It may seem somewhat lengthy, though consider that some countries are usually weeks and/or sometimes months behind a potential new FR novel release. |
| Kaewin05-04-07, 11:28 AM | I just wondered. The Blackstaff thread says spoiler when that book came out last year (can't remeber which month). So I thought to ask. I would hate to get introuble for using something in a thread about The Unclean for instance and not know when it would be ok to talk about it. |
| Dielzen05-04-07, 05:35 PM | I, personally, always spoiler any novel info, even if it's from a 5+ yr old book. Not everyone has read every book (tho I have almost) and may be starting fresh. Just a small way of being somewhat curteous (I make up for it in other ways) |
| wtf_thats_my_head05-05-07, 08:04 AM | yea you could have the first forgotten realms book ever printed and it would still be spoiler |
| Faraer05-06-07, 05:17 PM | I'd give a spoiler warning for any book less than a year old, and for any event that's dramatically important in a novel, regardless of when published, except large-scale things widely known in the Realms. Best to err towards caution. |
