In the Baldur's Gate novel, Eltan was close friends with a 'Scar' who appeared to have connections with both the Flaming Fist and the Baldur's Gate underworld and in the FRCS he had a close relationship with a Ravenscar, the head of the thieves guild in Baldur's Gate. Are 'Scar' from the novel and 'Ravenscar' from the FRCS one and the same? Secondly, in the old 2nd edition downloads and also mentioned in the FRCS was that the guild master of the Shadow Thieves was on of the ruling council of six in Amn. In the Waterdeep sourcebook, the Shade of Baldur's Gate, I am assuming he has acquired the shade template just like those mentioned working in Waterdeep, is the head of the Shadow Thieves. Is he one and the same as the member of Amn's ruling council? If so, why is he in Baldur's Gate? If not, did he kill him? Finally, I would like to know what happened to Ravenscar, as the title of the Shade gives the impression he controls Baldur's Gate even though it doesn't explicitly state he does.:uh-huh: Any ideas?

As for Scar and Ravenscar, i really cant say, but the shade of baldur's gate is the head of the guild in that sector. Shade is a title to the members of the ruling council of the shadow thieves( nothing to do with the netherese shades). The head of the council of shade(the grandmaster-Dannihyr) is a member of the council of six(iltarch), but he not responsible for no sector in particular.

Rhinnom Danniyr is the head of the Shadow Thieves and on the Council of Six. The "Shade of Baldur's Gate" is a title. They are different people. The person in question is not a shade and her name is Kerindra Lynnrenno. In 2E terms she was a NE human female F4/M9; STR 15, CON 16. -- George Krashos
