(in my campaign) Now that Chondath has collapsed in to squabbling city-states, and enough time has passed to allow the Humans to all but forget about their attack on the elves of the Chondelwood. The elves have rallied under the banner of the "Green Hand" a group of militant elves whose main goal is to reestablish an Elvin home land on the Faerunian mainland. Recently the Green Hand established itself creating a base of operation in the Chondelwood, once established they began recruiting. While at the same time taking small excursions West to clear out and destroy any logging camps, and South to effectively shut down the trade along the Old Road. The city of Iljak after losing a lot of money in lost caravans that the Green Hand confiscated decided to send a large number of mercenaries down to root out the problem. They promptly returned with only 50 left from the original 500. The Green Hand sent emissaries to discuss the terms of Iljak's surrender, later to find out they were killed once inside the mayor's mansion. So in retaliation, the elves mobilized a small force of 300-400 and marched on Iljak, sacked the city, killed the mayor, and replaced him with our own puppet figure. Now my question is this, can anyone help me flesh out the organization? We have been extremely successful in recruiting, and also have brought in a couple tribes of wild elves. And I want to bring a bit more life to the organization i.e. a rank structure, awards and decoration for solders, ect...any suggestion would be helpful. Also any input on how the Green Hand should attain their goal would be appreciated. |

But what can elves acomplish with only 400-500 beings of a force? Maybe if you're going to take over a villiage. I know I don't play this DnD game, but if you give me a bit more information I wouldn't mind giving some suggestions. I was so dissapointed in Road Of the Patriarch when over thousands of military men/wizards/archers/preist/warrior were assembled only to go back the next day. I wish the Dragolich and gargolys with the drow had fought them. That's the only thing I like about Paul Kemp compared to RAS...when an army marches..they fight.. |

The 300-400 was a small force, I personally don’t consider it a sizable force, the Green Hand has more that a couple hundred troops to throw around, but many are dispersed throughout their small realm guarding boarder and on patrols and so on, if they needed to the could call in the militia to take over those duties and the regular army could be formed into a force of a couple thousand. |
