Hey all, I have been playing a Half-Elf ranger in Neverwinter Nights on my home computer. I have not been in the on-line site yet, but I am playing her on my computer and want to make a paper copy of her for a campaign that is run by my friends? I want to know how to adjust her for the main book campaign from the digital campaign. BTW Silke Rahn is her name

A lot of this depends on what level your pen and paper game is starting out in.

-Nevrwinter Nights uses the d20 system. Just grab a character sheet, and fill out all the relevant information, which will be displayed on-screen.

NWN 1 is a modified version of the 3.0 rules. NWN 2 is modified 3.5 rules. So a number of changes will be necessary for standard 3.5 rules (or whatever your friend's pnp game is).

It would be best to remake her from scratch, based on rules in the PHB and the PGTF, close enough to the game version.

For a start, she's probably a dual-wielder, so that will be your Ranger combat style. And Ambidexterity is no longer needed.

Sounds good to me. I was thinking that would be what I needed to do. Silke Rahn is a 5th level Ranger and a 4th level Rogue. I am thinking of prestiging her as a Harper Scout. Only problem is that the only info I have on this prestige class is in my Forgotten Realms book and it was written before 3.5 was released. I need to find updates for the classes in that book for 3.5. Anyone have a lead as to where I can find them.

Honestly, this sounds like a question for CharOp. They're the local rules mechanics.

In the sense that you ask them to fix your slingshot and they hand you a bazooka...

Player's Guide To Faerun updates all the material from the FRCS 3e to 3.5 edition.

The Harper Scout was updated and significantly improved as the Harper Agent.

-They're nothing if but efficient, though.

The original Neverwinter Nights used the 3.0 rules, and the Ranger class and the Harper Scout/Agent prestige class have both undergone very substantial changes in the transition to 3.5

I don't argue with that, and I rather like that bit of the boards. Just saying, careful what you ask for. :D

Harper agent is more spell-oriented now, so I'd advise you to look for another PrC. Mind you, I can also recommend hitting lvl 6 as a ranger, it's quite rewarding (improved combat style + animal companion improves). Then you could think about a good PrC. BTW, for 3.5 Faerun information, look at the Player's Guide to Faerun, it's the update to the FRCS.

Anyway, you will probably have to revise her feats and skills, given that NWN uses a modified version of the old system.

I have made it to Ranger (8), Rogue (8), and Shadow Dancer (5) and did the appropriate mods for the PnP version in 3.5. In NWN she is quite the Shadow of Death. She kills almost too easy. I am now in the Hordes of the Underdark and she is having a tougher time now that she is actually in the Underdark. Her PnP version has not been played yet as the weather has prevented my from making the trip from Topeka to Wichita here in Kansas.

So until then I won't be able to see how my friends' characters will react to her. If it is like it should be even a half-Drow should get negative reactions no matter how good she maybe.

Here are Silke Rahn's states:
Current, Str (14) Dex (14) Con (14) Int (14) Wis (14) Cha (13)
Original, Str (13) Dex (14) Con (13) Int (12) Wis (14) Cha (12)
NWN gives her 133/ 133 hit points currently in the PnP version I have yet to calculate her hit points.
The above stat are all I can record from memory at the moment as I do not have her sheet with me. It was left at home.
I should say I do remember that she has weapons focus Greatsword and weapons proficiency: exotic: two-bladed sword with both weapons focus: two-bladed sword and epic weapons focus: two-bladed sword.

I should say that she is not a female Drizzt. I actually think Drizzt would disapprove of her deals with Dragons and other peaceful dealings with evil NPCs. She just does not see the need to kill anything evil just because it is evil. Now if she is attacked or on a mission that entales killing that evil being then so be it. She does tend to be charitable and has helped many people out as I have played the game modules in my copy of NWN Diamond Ed. Also though she is Neutral Good she has been slipping ever so slightly towards Choatic Good. At one point in the NWN SOU module she slipped slight towards evil when she took the option of release Tymofarar's herd of oxen to avoid a battle with the last batch of Kobold Ice Hounds defending the entrance to the White Wyrm's lair. I have managed to avoid her killing every Kobold in that module's first chapter, but she has killed several dozen of her kinfolk in the Hordes of the Underdark module.

I would like to see soon how well she can survive in my friends runs. The campaign in Wichita is now an Epic campaign and Silke should be an interesting addition to any of their parties.

Pfeh, Drizzt isn't exalted so don't worry if you ever meet him :) .
